Review: The smallest book ever (in a good way) - I am delighted to have this book in my possession. This is the prelude to LOTR which covers the story of Bilbo, so I thought it necessary to read this before LOTR. The hardcover is of good quality, sturdy, nice cover by Tolkien himself, a collector's item. Review: Packing review - Great packaging, paper quality is good and it is small as hobbit

The artwork is stunning.
Honestly, having watched the film, I am ever so glad I read the book beforehand. If anyone is reading this comment having not read the book yet, take my advice: read the book before seeing the film. Regarding this specific edition, it is a hardcover pocket edition. The delivery was spot on. That said, if you have the money to spare, you would be better off buying the original hardcover. This one is a bit of a struggle to read.

Pocket-sized just like a Hobbit!
A lovely pocket edition of The Hobbit to add to one's collection. The font is readable. Delivered in a great condition.

Lovely little book about a little Hobbit.
There's nothing new to say about the book. What I didn't expect is how lovely this form factor is going to feel. It's the pocket hardback version of the hardcover edition, hence smaller and cheaper. But I never guessed that it'd feel this much good in my hand. The book fits perfectly in my palm, and I have average sized palm. The printing quality is beautiful. Page quality is nice. It has all the original illustrations by Tolkien. In short: if you want to add a nice edition to your collection, but short on money right now, definitely consider buying this one. (Got it at Rs. 423, which is, considering the quality, is a complete win.) Delivery quality was quite disappointing though. No extra packing layer. The Silmarillion came with it (I ordered both the books) and got slightly damaged. But I am overlooking that fact just because how good this book looks and feels.
