I have fine, frizzy hair. Over the last several months, the frizz has been unmanageable. After trying various lotions and potions to combat this, without success, I decided to take the plunge and buy some new straighteners. I researched steam straighteners, as I felt my hair was really damaged by my Ghd ones. Many moons ago, when straighteners became popular, I had ones with a steam function and found these were less damaging. This product came up in the top 10 best steam straighteners and on reading the reviews and checking out the features, as well as the price, I made a purchase and am delighted that I did. Straight out of the box, they are so easy to use. I also like the wider plates and the comb. A pair of my old straighteners had a comb and I found it so handy. I can’t understand why more don’t have this feature. After only a few passes through my hair, just as a practice, I saw an immediate improvement.I’ve had them about a month now and my hair looks normal again! No frizz and generally only need to use them every 3 days, at 150c. The only negatives I have found, is the water container is a bit awkward to remove from the body of the straighteners but I’ve found that using a towel or some of that grippy matting stuff sorts this out. Also, distilled water is recommended, which I’ve been using. However, travelling abroad, this may be inconvenient. Don’t think the husband will be too thrilled at me adding to my toiletry haul with a bottle of water so I may have to go with the tap water for those 2 weeks away. However, these 2 minor things do not detract from the overall quality and effectiveness of this product and it definitely deserves 5 stars. Lifesaver!

This is a good straightener. It heats up fast and does straighten thick curly hair with effort. The negatives are: The container for water is very hard to fill..there is a little bottle that comes with it but its awkward to fill through the tiny hole. The comb on the plates is tiny and pulls my hair so I took it off. There was no instructions with my straightener but I figured it out. It's slightly on the heavy side to hold for long periods . All in all I'm happy with it. My hair is thick so it takes work but for anyone with fine hair this will be easy to use. The comb on the plates will work better on finer hair. Super fast delivery.

I have fine, frizzy, curly hair- I have never really straightened it before because I was worried about heat damage. These steam irons are a real game changer. They are easy to use and work quickly, leaving hair straight & glossy…no more out of control frizz for me! Results last or a good 5 days. To avoid the comb ripping hair (as mentioned in some reviews) I found this is down to how the iron is held- if I have the flat/straight side closest to my scalp it glides through. If the other side is closest it does pull. I also use the L’Oréal steam pod milk for fine hair (bought on Amazon) before using the irons which helps. Photos show before (curly/frizzy) and after -with literally just 10 minutes of use on the lowest setting (190)

I purchased these after purchasing the more expensive Steampod. I liked that these appeared similar yet more portable. Having tried both, I would say that there are pros and cons to both. This model, the SteamPlus, is less fiddly to set up, less bulky, more flexible, and produces exactly the same initial straightening effect as the Steampod. However, the Steampod has a faster straightening time, plates that feel smoother on the hair with fewer snags, and that 'freshly straightened' look lasts longer (though the SteamPlus still outlasts the effects produced by non-steam straighteners). Personally, I prefer the end result of the Steampod, and it feels kinder on my hair during use, perhaps because there's more flexibility on the Steampod plates that there's less resistance. But these differences are minor and the ease of use and storage of the SteamPlus evens the score. Both have different merits but both equally deserve five stars.

I’ve got frizzy hair, not very good. Hardly using as although makes them straight but some frizz still stays

Only used it a couple of times and feel overall its a good product the steam is much better than I thought and have experienced with other straighteners with steam. They are quite heavy not in a bad way just feels solid and not cheap. Like the large water bottle,.. and the controls are easy to use and responsive heats up quite quickly has a long flex worth the money and although initially I wasn't too sure as the plates are wide but I am actually getting to like them the more I use them I would definitely recommend

Me ha llegado la plancha después de estar seleccionando durante una hora la que mejor se ajustaba a mis necesidades, encima la había pedido como un regalo para mi mujer, y cual no es mi sorpresa que me ha llegado con un enchufe con el sistema inglés de tres patillas cuadradas. Parece mentira que no tengan en cuenta el país del que se les ha hecho el pedido y no lo envíen con arreglo a ello. Desastre, y ahora a quejarme.
