I own a total of 56 of these lights. ***ONE YEAR UPDATE*** Every single LED and every single Cooling Fan continues to work. I will update this review again as needed. ***TWO YEAR UPDATE*** I never needed the warranty for anything. The lights continue to operate as they have since I've owned them. Out of all 56 lights, none of them arrived broken or dysfunctional. Only one of them came missing one small part that clips the hanging wires to the light body. I was able to fix this in about a minute by using a zip-tie to secure the connection. I purchased my first set of these lights that arrived 2/24/15, and another second set of these lights that arrived 4/28/15. Every single LED light has worked and continues to work as of 04/16/16. I will update when and if any go out or if anything else fails, and will add my experience with customer service if necessary as there is a two year warranty on these lights. According to my measurements, these lights run at 168 watts and 1.4 amps at 120 volts. They can run 85~265 volts, so amperage will change if you run them at different voltages but wattage will stay the same. Typically, one would expect the lights to run at 168 watts and 0.7 amps at 240 volts. I do have 20 of these lights running on 240 volts, but have not bothered to test the amperage under these conditions. I have three sets of 12 lights daisy-chained on a 20 amp 120 volt circuits. There is a little noticeable heat in the the first few power cords. Some heavier gauged power cords would probably fix the heat issue, but its nothing I'm worried about. I have two sets of 10 lights daisy-chained running on 20 amp 240 volt circuits with no noticeable heat. I have not tested the lumen or lux unit outputs of these lights. I use four of these LED lights to replace one of my 1000w switchable MH/HPS ballast setups. My 1000w MH/HPS ballasts were actually running at 1100 true watts. Four (4) of these lights run at about 680 true watts total, meaning I am saving about 40% on my electricity expenses while running these lights. To me the added expense of purchasing these lights up front will eventually pay off with the money I save on electricity while also reducing the electrical footprint of my crop. All good things. Another thing to consider is the heat these lights put out is much less than hot MH and HPS bulbs. As the year has warmed up I would conservatively estimate I am using 30% less air-conditioning to keep my crop cool, perhaps even more. Also, although not advertised with these lights, LED's typically have a much longer lifespan than MH/HPS bulbs and remain much more efficient in regards to light output throughout their life cycle. It is worth noting that the description for these LED lights suggests that there are two separate modes for vegetation and flowering stages by listing two separate light spectrum requirements for each stage. This is not the case. All of the LED's remain on at all times during operation. Also, the manufacturer suggests a maximum continuous running time of 16 hours a day. I have ran all of mine for 18 hours a day for several weeks at a time with no issues. Also, I do not believe these lights have 9 bandwidths of light. I can only pick out 6 types of led bulbs with polarized glasses over my eyes, so unless I'm missing something these are 6 band lights. This isn't a deal-breaker for me as my plants seem to do great under these lights. A potential buyer may consider a larger LED wattage setup such as a 600w or 1200w LED light. Many are available here on Amazon and elsewhere. The reason I went with these is that I felt that spreading the lighting over a larger space would be more effective for my situation. Also, these lights weigh in at about 7 pounds according to my digital bathroom scale. In my opinion, this low weight makes them easier to hang up, adjust, and move in comparison to other heavier setups. I used the Apollo Horticulture 1/8" Adjustable Hangers also found here on Amazon to hang these LED's. Similar hangers can be found cheaper elsewhere but I found that the Apollo hangers were higher quality products compared to what my local garden supply store had stocked. All in all, I am completely happy so far with this product. Each of the 56 lights has arrived in working condition out of box. The packaging is absolutely spot on and I'm even saving the boxes and packing materials in case I move. *UPDATE* As of 7/26/15 this will be my last yield update. I have found that these LED grow lights are not sufficient for vegetative growth on their own. That said, in the past I would use six (6) 1000w MH light setups to veg my plants. I now use three (3) 1000w MH setups and twelve (12) of these LED lights for vegetating. From my observations these LED lights just don't put out enough "cool" or "blue" light on their own to vegetate plants to their utmost potential. These lights will work on their own for vegetating plants, just not as well as MH bulbs or with MH bulbs. Although I have not tried it yet, I'm sure "cool" florescent T5 or T8 bulbs would also work better to use during the vegetative growth stage. See wiki links below. However! These lights work AMAZINGLY for the flowering/blooming stage of plant growth! Either on their own or in tandem with 1000w HPS light setups these lights will produce high quality end product with acceptable yields. My plants yield on average 80-90 grams per plant each cycle. I vegetate for three (3) weeks using 1000w MH lights with these LED lights mixed in as supplemental lighting. Then I flower for seven (7) weeks using only these LED lights. I have tried using just these lights through an entire grow cycle. I have tried using only 1000w MH/HPS light setups through an entire grow cycle, but neither produce as well in both quality or quantity when compared to the method I have listed in the two paragraphs above this one. I suggest doing some research on your own beyond my findings to find a setup that works best for your growing situation. And experiment a little yourself as well! Below are two links to Wikipedia that I found extremely helpful in learning about the variety of grow lights. This link goes over every type of indoor grow light and explains the advantages and weaknesses of each: [...] This link goes over the bandwidths of light plants use in the process of photosynthesis, also know as PAR: [...] Hope all that helps! I will update this review again if I feel the need to. It took a bit of experimentation, but as of now though I am completely happy with how these lights have worked out for me. Five Stars.

Excellent For The Money
As a long-term devotee of LED lighting, I am extremely happy with the Galaxyhydro 300w light. No, it is not top-of-the-line compared to some other lights I own but is very well-made, seems pretty sturdy and is very impressive for what it is. There is no doubt that this light grows plants. So little heat it makes growing plants in tents and small spaces a breeze. At the price point for this unit is undoubtedly a great value. Whether it matches my other lights in terms of flowering plants remains to be seen in tests. However I would heartily recommend it to all those who labor under limited budgets. And I can say without reservation that plants love it for the vegative growth phase. Overall an extremely good value and was dispatched fast with rapid arrival in perfect order. Well-recommended! An update: After running my Galaxyhydro lights for several weeks now, I can say with assurance that these leds, ( both 600 watt and 300 watt), are equal to or exceed the specs. of my four-times-as -expensive US leds light units. The seller had my lights delivered within three days of placing my order and were attentive & followed-up with inquiries afterwards to make sure all was well on my end. Excellent service. As a professional grower I endorse the Galaxy hydro led grow lights without reservation. I've also purchased a 1200watt COB grow light for my next expansion. Can't wait to review this unit in the near future. In simply practical terms, the Galaxyhydro line meets the grow challenges of today at a reasonable cost. The classic "no-brainer" of all the choices I must make on a daily basis. And for those wondering if these work for the flower phase of their plants I say; " go for it". These lights are gems. UPDATE AFTER ONE YEAR IN SERVICE. It has been 5 complete cycles using 10 300 watt lights. Results have been consistently excellent. 2 or even 3 units work wonders in 3x3 for flower. 1 unit is more than sufficient for vegative in 3x3. Not 1 of.my 10 units have failed in the past year to date. I handle all my equipment carefully and never in haste, so if these units are destined for rough use or thrown around, you could break them. But the Galaxyhydro 300's are simply amazing for the price. I use a few 300's alongside larger much more costly units and almost hate to admit the difference between plants under the different "big" brands and my little Galaxyhydro lights is 5% at most. And I've been doing this work for decades. It's impressive. When I bought my first 6 last year I felt like a chump at first, not believing the 300's could really compete with the double/triple cost "11" & "12" spectrum lights already in use in the gardens. Was I relieved when my fears were proved baseless.. In any event, these lights are a great product, priced really fairly for both the budget conscience & the astute professional. A workhorse in my gardens.

Good light with some fan noise - vegetable garden grower!
I just got my light setup in my grow tent where I have a variety of vegetable seedlings growing. The light itself seems great so far and I will update this if anything changes. It's very bright and puts down plenty of light. The cable clips are extremely solid and I like the switch to be able to turn this off without affecting my timer. Two things surprised me the most though and the first one is the fan noise. I didn't expect this to be quiet but I was hoping it would be a bit quieter than it is. I have my grow tent setup in my living room right now - it will move to the basement before long probably sooner now because of the noise. Anyway, the fans spin very loudly/fast. It would be nice if there were a speed control for the fans as I'm pretty sure they don't need to spin this fast for cooling of these LEDs. The second thing I noticed was that the switch didn't affect the plug that you can use to daisy chain multiple units together. This seems like a pretty big design flaw. I love the fact that I can turn off the light with the switch because I hate having to unplug it from the timer or unplug my timer just to do some lights off work in the tent. It would make sense to me to have it control the plug as well, at least in my case. I can see a use case where you wouldn't want it to control all the rest of the lights daisy chained up but for me and what I'm doing this really would be a nice feature to have. I'd really give this thing 4.5 stars because everything else about it seems really good. I will update this in a few weeks to let everyone know how my plants are growing.

These lights are very impressive for the price.
Anyone claiming these lights are bad are lying, or are working for another LED company to give a bad review, yes other companies or competitions do that, one person said the window closed for them to return the item, in most cases you have 30 days to contact Amazon, another said some leds was out or fan wasn't working.. again, Amazon would have taken care of that for them so that was a blatant lie, I've had lights since August 16 2016, still good and not one LED out and the fans are still working great, want to get two more or a 600w one but can only afford one more at the time, unless the company wants to send me two for shutting up people giving only one and two stars and lying? " Keeps fingers crossed " :D God I hate ppl who feel they need to lie about a product that is perfectly fine. I'm already on my 10th or 11th grow with these lights and they work great! Maybe I'm just lucky? Or maybe the product is as good as other people who are being honest and giving a five star rating and are claiming how good they're, specially for that low of a price, never felt a need to make a post even though I made a few small ones in the past, but my lovely fiance told me that I should go and say my peace, just in case anyone is getting discouraged on buying them, Dont! when I bought them I paid $120 for them each, you cannot beat this deal, two years or longer and still going strong, others who gave five star rating are without a doubt being very honest, I would give 10 if I could, well off to go by another one, my ladies are going to love the extra light, happy growing :-) P.S one night forgot to put my inline fan on and had my humidifier blasting woke up and my thermometer was 99 + how's that for a great working product? Almost like they are waterproof, but don't throw a cup of water on them lol And before anyone claims I am working for the company, I don't, just a poor man growing his medicine, but I do wish the company will see my post because I just made them get a hundred more orders I'm sure. Peace out and happy growing.

Excellent
So far.... after only 2 weeks....incredible.I purchased this Galaxyhydro 300w LED as my first LED... just to find out I use 1000w MH and HPS with other secondary lighting. I looked at .... all the other high priced LEDs .Im not naive enough to pay $2200 for 1000w. Instead i started with the full spectrum 300w from galaxyhydro for around $140..The light was delivered in three days and showed solid construction. When i first turned the light on, i was floored....and temporally blinded. . After 2 weeks and plants like i have never seen before i felt compelled to write a rare review. For 300w it puts out an incredible full spectrum light needed for plant growth..My plants are fuller, thicker, and showing faster growth rate in just 2 weeks. My Indica are also, as a bonus already exhibiting more intelligence then some of my friends.I will have to check with Galaxyhydro reps to see if this is intended. With confidence i just purchased the Roledro 400w COBB from Galaxyhydro. Should come tomorrow. This is just the veg stage and i will keep all updated on how well it does in flowering and with the COBBs.....UPDATE. on the 300w galaxyhydro full spectrum. . Fantastic..OK without all the numbers. There is no noticable drop in lux output after 2 months. Still excellent.there is no change in heat...as there is none This is very important as i have been using the LED on seeds and clones. .I waited 2 months to make sure the elect bill was correct The cost to run this unit 24 hours a day 7 days a week for 30 days( two months running) is.....just incredible...$10 per month. This is important as i have always sweated the $800 -$1200 monthly bills. This is an average and i am running the 300w with the Galaxyhydro 400w cobb I will give a more through review on the 400w cobb in a week or two.I an sold on the galaxyhydro LED.I have ordered other products and my reviews will show with the items. But thus far the Galaxyhydro products are excellent for the money. The elect savings compared to the MH and the HPS is amazing Believe it or not the lights will pay for their self in approx. 5 minutes.LOL. .The most important thing that must not be overlooked is ....My plants love...love the lights. They are thicker. greene rand are growing faster. I know the final test will be the budding. I will keep you updated. Will OK here is my update on the 300w LED. Holy mother of ... just excellent. Hugh. thick...flowers I will be purchasing more in the future next will be the 600w.LED from Galaxyhydro. Look for my reviews of these in about 1 month. WIll Ok here is results of the 600w galaxyhydro. You have got to get this light. Unbelievable..The light pierces the thick upper sea of green and the secondary flowers are growing at an incredible rate. The lux meter shows high light under the canopy.I have tried other lights not the absurd priced ones. These are ridicules.I will stay with the Galaxyhydro. Will

pretty good light
So far, I'm pleased. The light arrived well packaged and in good shape. After unpacking the light, I was impressed with how it felt significantly less heavy than the older 300W LED light. That is good because it reduces the overall load on the rails across the top of my tent. Upon getting it hung in place of the old light and turning it on, I was again impressed. This time with the obvious increase in brightness. It is also significantly more red than the older light. All the LEDs are lit, and the heat exhaust fans are all running smoothly. I've been running it a few days now, and my opinion to this point is that it is a good LED light, and will probably be better than my old light. This light runs cooler than the older LED, also. I've got it hung over two tomato seedlings, and one autoflower seedling in a 36"x36"x76" tent. All plants look nice, have been growing nicely under the new light, and seem to like it just fine. I'll follow up in a few weeks with a progress report. -------------- Update#1 .. So far so good. I only have the auto under it now. The tomatoes, which were were lower, and farther away from the light than the auto, were stretching a lot, and foliage growth wasn't good. So took the tomatoes and put them under their own light in the garage. They are doing much better now. The tomatoes were about six inches lower than the autoflower (due to the pots they were in), and not getting enough light. It seems that the best positioning of this light is 12 to 18 inches above the plants, and the plant that is directly under the light will do best. -------------- Update#2 .. Not sure what to say at the end of this test grow. I grew a autoflower from spout to harvest. The plant grew ok. However, stretching was a problem, no matter how close the light was to the plant. I also added a 25W UvB t-8 during flower. The plant turned out tall, spindly, but covered with resinous flowers. While tricomes were numerous, fat, and sticky, the buds had no weight at all. I think it's genetics of the plant, and not the light. Unfortunately, I have not grown this strain before. Could be genetics and not the light. This plant was chopped and used to make some amazing bubble hash. -------------- Synopsis .. This was a completely nonscientific test. Having said that, I think it's a good, inexpensive grow light. It is a well made, solid light fixture with bright LEDs that all functioned and all remained lit. The fans on the light are pretty noisy, but not terrible. Power consumption, and heat dissipation were considerably reduced, as compared to 400W HIDs and t-8 florescent lights. I'll take their word on spectrum. Due to there being less heat in the tent, I was able to use a smaller blower/fan for air intake and exhaust. This also helped reduce power consumption and noise. I've found that the plants will stretch under any LED grow light, unless they are close to the plant. Stretching seemed excessive with this plant, though. I also added a UvB light during flower, but that's my routine no mater what kind of light I use... As an inexpensive grow light for the hobbyist, who needs to keep costs for power down, I can recommend this light.

Great light, perfect for starting a few trays of seedlings.
I ordered this to replace two 12" square blue led panels. The new light outperforms the two panels by far. I like that it includes UV emitters to kill fungus, bacteria, and viral infections that may harm plants, especially during germination. It also produces only light in the wavelength range plants use, and don't waste energy producing light in wavelengths not used by plants. The unit includes fans to keep it cool, but they are quiet and don't disrupt anything here. I'm using the light to start plants in two standard 11" X 22" germination trays. The light is positioned about a foot above the top of the trays, just about a half an inch above the humidity domes. So far, so good. It looks like this is a huge upgrade from less expensive lights. I wish I had bought this one first. Update: About four weeks into the first trays started with this light, and I'm extremely happy. The two trays are growing fast, and the vegetation is good and dense. My peppers look better than the ones for sale at the local nurseries. I added a couple of pictures, one with the light turned off to show the plants.

Works great when used with CFLs, especially for flowering
Nice and bright. Not as intense as HID, but what does one expect? Update: This light works great. I bought it because I wasn't getting what I wanted out the T5 fixture I bought and was pleased enough with the results for vegetative growth, but I wanted to give HID a try for flowering as I am a serious horticulturalist looking to make a profit as opposed to a hobbyist looking to have fun. The heat from a 1000W HID light ended up being too much for my small grow area. The noise from cooling the HID was also way too loud, so I decided to give a couple of 250W CFL fixtures a try. A lumen is a lumen after all, right? After reading that lemon and other fruit trees really do want an LED if you are growing them indoors, I decided to give my half my plants a mix of CFL and LED light while the other half was going to get CFL light alone. The plants with a mixture of LED and CFL light had greater floral development than the plants grown under CFL light only. I'm not sure I want to totally abandon CFL lights, but these Galaxyhydro 300Ws have definitely convinced me LEDs have a place in my high-density, space intensive garden. Planning to order more soon.
