For educational purpose - safety.Great product! An important consideration in your formulation is adjusting the pH, regardless of the solvent.Salycilic acid works best between a pH of 3 - 5. This can be accomplished by either using distilled white vinegar or citric acid.Citric acid not only adjust the pH of your formulation, it also helps prevent salicylic acid powder from precipitating back into crystals, while in solution.Warm both solvent and salicylic acid powder, and then add the citric acid, for a stable and ACTIVE product.NOTE ACTIVE:If you are considered adjusting the pH of your formulation, you may also want to change/lower the concentration of your product.A 2% solution at a pH between 3 - 5 is far more ACTIVE / "stronger" than a solution at a higher pH.If you are new to active ingredients, your skin requires time to build "tolerance." Do NOT risk it! Don't sensitize your skin.Safety first...As always, work in a clean, and well ventilated area, minimize distractions. Made a home made foot peel, this was an ingredient Holy moly did this work! You're gonna peel for days so make sure you use an ointment to protect and moisturize.

In order to use this properly I suggest getting glycerin and sodium citrate. Warm to glycerin so SA melts properly and use sodium citrate to stop SA from forming crystals. Simply adding this to a cleanser will destabilize the cleanser, it will go from thick foam to straight water. Make a solution first. If you just but this straight onto your skin, you could burn your skin. Please use the sodium citrate or it will just be laying on your face as a white patch because it crystallized before your skin could absorb it.

I use this for making a toenail fungus-killing solution. The product has the proper strength and seems to be pure - no issues at all with that.As a reminder, practice safety when you're working with this product, and buy a proper scale for measuring.

I saw a post on social media from a pharmacist who said to add some of this to dandruff shampoo to aid in ridding dandruff. It worked good. Would buy again but there’s enough in the bottle to last me a good while.

Got the tip from Philsmypharmacist to add this to Nizoral. Works great!!
