I ordered these straws to include in the silverware or utensil pouches I was making for family for Christmas. Because plastic is polluting the planet and easily broken I wanted a safe alternative for all of us. I ordered cloth pouches for another seller (the 24 count), chopsticks from another seller as most of my family use them for several take-outs and purchased silverware at a local store. I popped in a fork, knife and spoon as well as a straw , from MUTNITT, with a tip of either that person's favorite color or one that matched the case and a pair of chopsticks. All were very pleased with their sets, loved the metal straws with tip and silverware (normal sized, much easier to use, won't break easily). The straws are nice and tall, easily fit in taller cups like the 30 oz. Yeti, Ozark Trail, Bubba and others. One niece was especially grateful as she has become germaphobic, due to the times, and the metal straw will not collapse like the paper straws her school uses. (I remembered those straws from when I was a kid and surprised her by mentioning how my fellow students and I tried to deal with paper straws: only put them in the box when you are ready to drink, if they get too soggy, pull them out and flip them upside down, or rip off the soggy piece and hope the straw can still be used. :P I told her that was why I usually just open the box, form a spout and just drink out of the box. It saved dealing with the fails of paper straws.)

Good price for the quantity. Works well with tumblers or just any cup really. The silicone tips are a nice touch so you dont stab the roof of your mouth.

These straws are exactly what I needed and I love the silicone tips. I can color code them for the grandchildren. The length even fits my Stanley cups.

We all know that plastic straws will end up in the ocean and damage our precious eco system, and especially those poor sea animals who wind up getting them stuck on their bodies or inside their bodies. So, I am glad that companies are making more of these reusable straws. I chose the stainless steel straws with the silicone tips because I bought these for my son and the students at school I teach. The softer tip makes it easier for those who can't handle or are unaccustomed to a metal tip on their mouth. If you don't mind it, then you don't need the silicone tip. That is, if the silicone/rubbery feel makes it feel strange, then you're probably better off using the straw as is As for cleaning the straws and tip, I put my straw in the dishwasher in hot setting and it has washed well so far. No damage as I assume stainless steel is suppose to be a very tough material. I hesitate to wash the tip in the dishwasher though so I just wash it by hand. But because I don't normally use the straw with the tip, the first time washing it was fine for me. However, it also depends on what you're drinking. I suppose if you're drinking clear liquid then it'd be fairly easy to clean. But if you're drinking something like a smoothie or even chocolate milk, you'd need to get a deeper cleaning. Luckily it does come with a little brush though so that could be useful.
