Love it
I have a lot of watches, including full automatics and an Omega Seamaster - but I tend to wear my Casio G-Force every day for the last few years. When I saw this one, I loved it and grabbed what is now my new favorite. I liked my Apple Watch (before it shattered from falling about a foot onto a vinyl floor), but I hated having to charge it every day. The Pro Trek is a brilliant blend of what I liked from the Apple Watch and why I prefer conventional ones. The app for the Pro Trek works great and automatically corrects the time a few times a week on the watch while immediately fixing the time zone when I travel. Pro Trek logs steps and that stuff, but I don’t use it much. The compass seems to work well, and I am a trained/skilled land navigator with a compass and map - but I haven’t had a chance to check the accuracy yet - I suspect it would be difficult for real navigation, since one needs to lay the compass on the map and correct for magnetic/true north to orient; and I don’t see how that would work. If you need to know which way is north or whatever, this would work fine, but it’s not a survival tool. The battery life should be good, I’ll update if it is not. One negative- I don’t like the resin band, if searching for a product, I get the Samsung Gear ones popping up and it made sense that Casio would use the same size quick-release - but that is not the case, I ordered an 8-pack (for cheap) and no-bueno. 22 mm bands are a hair too small - might be a 23 or 24. I’m sure I can use them on other watches in the collection, but don’t use the 22’s.

Great Watch.
A very manly, man watch for manly men. Big, but not overpowering on the wrist. Very easy to read. Lots of features all of which seem to work pretty well. Rather than try and figure out the instructions in the owner's manual, go to YouTube and watch a video. You have to download the "pro trek" app onto your phone so that you can input the things you want the watch to monitor. Your watch will pair with your bluetooth and that allows you to input data to the 'pro trek' app. Once you have done that the watch will unpair from bluetooth. You have to pair with bluetooth every time you want to change a watch function. Bit of a pain, but you get used to it. Can't speak to the water resistance since I haven't worn it in water.

Almost perfect
This is a great watch. But it falls short for my purposes. I want a nice SHTF watch that has the ABC functions. This has all 3 and uses the second hand as the compass. There is a small LCD screen that shows the various other functions like barometer and altimeter. But that screen is small and I found it hard to read unless I turned the light on. The strap was comfortable and the watch didn't seem too big on my wrist. The watch also connects to your phone via bluetooth. Download the app and then pair the 2 devices. It was seamless and easy. The app lets you have access to the step counter function and you can see some of the ABC functions in greater detail. The app is also how you set the time function of the watch. When paired your phone syncs the watches time to it. So if you travel, you have to connect your watch to your phone to change the time to the updated time zone. It won't do it automatically. And that is also why I returned the watch. I didn't want to depend on my phone for my watch to work. As in an emergency, I doubt my phone may work. If you are looking for those functions, just get a smart watch.

Great all-around ProTrek
This watch has a nice feature set incl. Alti/Baro/Therm/Compass, step counter and can track where you have been with the phone app. I also really appreciate how easy it is to read the time and the positive display window. Some of the other ProTreks have negative display windows which are much harder to read especially in low light situations. The light is very good and illuminates the window and hour and minute hands with enough light to make them way to read. The watch is very light, making it comfortable to wear for long periods. The phone app allows you to setup and modify the features the watch displays which is nice addition, and the the app allows you to easily set alarms, etc. For the price, this is a bargain among the ProTreks series. Highly recommended.

The short story is that my experience has been the watch and Pro Trek app work well together. You can access many of the watch functions by using the app. These functions are a lot easier to use in the app. I have a couple Pro Trek watches. I really like the Atomic time and tough solar capabilities of the Pro Trek line. I did not want to spend that kind of money (for the watch with those features) on this watch. The time update with the app is much easier to use than the atomic 6 band function. It appears the battery can be replaced by the user, but I have not done so. So far very pleased with the watch.

Great Hikers Watch
This Casio Pro trek watch has all the features you could possibly need when hiking: compass, altitude, temperature, barometer, steps taken, stop watch, alarms, Sun rise and sunset times, etc.. You can even mark the beginning at the trail head to allow one to return safely to the start. The watch also connects via Bluetooth to your devices where one can mark features and places where photos where taken. The only con is the size of the case at 58 millimeters.

A BIT ON THE SMALL SIDE AND LACKS KEY MAPPING FEATURES
I was so excited to get this watch, but when it came I was a bit underwhelmed by how small it was. Additionally, my hikes only show on the smartphone app. I thought they would have an online mapping feature where I could pull up my hikes on my computer. As far as I can tell, Casio doesn't not have that feature associated with this line of ProTrek. It's other ProTrek line WSD-F21 does have online mapping, but this ProTrek line PRT B-50 does not. Big Bummer! That was NOT made clear in the advertising.

EASY to see (and does steps)
This is not a smartwatch. I have many. I don't care what my heart rate is. I don't care if I don't know about the temperature outside (I'm there, I know if it's hot cold or wet). I don't want to talk on my watch like dick Tracy. I DO want to know if I am moving enough though, so I do like the step counter. The tracking of my walks is clunky, useless and convoluted to use. I like an "old style" hand watch every now and again and in particular a solid and meaty looking one.

alternativa a otros
El reloj es bueno, lo que no trae es el centro de México pero se compensa con la aplicación que hay que bajar para sincronizarlo, la palanquita esta bien para sacar la correa mas fácil.
