Overall, a good suspender - easy to use, reliable clips, comfortable. Sadly, the new pair I received appear to be shorter than the original pair. He has worn the original pair so long they are now stretched. And now it's been too long to return the new ones. Haven't decided to try this brand again or not.

I have owned many pairs of suspenders, been wearing them since I was about 18 years old and I’m 30 now. I wear suspenders daily, I have different suspenders for different tasks. I wanted to try Y suspenders for work. The clips are large and do stick out but less than a set of Carhart suspenders I have. With clips like this you get a superior hold on the pants but it does present the opportunity to hit the clips on things like getting in and out of a car, etc etc. it’s the same with all metal clip suspenders. In my years of hitting clips, a pair of needle nose pliers will fix them right up, I have repaired several sets of suspenders that I bent the clips on doing some task so it’s no big deal to me, the clips not holding is a far greater annoyance. I just got these suspenders tonight. The strap does feel thicker, I really like the length of the straps. For example the Carhartt suspenders I got about a month ago, adjusted to its longest strap setting it pulls up on my pants just a tad too much, but that’s no problem because eventually they will stretch like everything does with elastic. With these suspenders, I have about 8” or so adjustment left, so I can set it less. Idea on my dressy work pants is to keep them from falling down, not be pulled up so hard I’m talking a few octaves higher pitch. I will make these my daily drivers, if they absolutely suck, I’ll change my rating as time goes on. Fraying I suspect might be an issue with these, with how they are made but that will be a long time from now. I took a close up picture of the clip because I didn’t see any pictures where you could make out the “In God We Trust”, honestly I could take that or leave it, doesn’t really make me like the suspenders more but I suppose it makes them look a bit fancier. They must etch that on the suspenders they sell in the USA, I can’t see people in the UK appreciating the eagle. As far as I can see, looks like it’s made in UK as it says in the listing. I would also like to note, I have been wearing suspenders for better part of 15 years almost daily and I have never had a pair fail that I can remember. If I replace them it’s usually because I stretched them out. I carry a lot of things in my pockets, I cut firewood, I mud run ATVs so I give suspenders a workout, they do their jobs well, sometimes they need repaired because of something I did. I have found no reason to think this Y suspenders will be any different, I think they will give me years of service holding up my pants at work without giving that lumberjack look lol. I’m not someone who cares about how people view me but I will try new things and if it works better than what I was doing, I’ll make that the routine. Having a quality Y set of suspenders might be my norm.

My husband has no hips (like many men) and these suspenders work great. Clasps are strong but don't damage the materials.

They work very well. Wish I had gone with a different style. You can't slide these off your shoulders to take pants off. You have to take them loose from pants to drop your pants. If your in a hurry, you may want to consider that.

I had bought a different pair before buying these, and it didn't take me too long to realize that I had made a mistake. The clips kept slipping off my pants. Even when I placed the clip directly on the seam where the belt loops meet. Enter this pair that advertises "very strong clips". That is not an exaggeration. These are very sturdy clips, and after having tried them on several pairs of pants and jeans, I believe I have found my daily set of suspenders.

I've been wearing suspenders for a few years. They help support my heavy denim jeans. I prefer them over a tight belt. I've tried many styles, clip, clamp, X and Y on the back, 2", 1". These are great. They stay clamped on. Look nice, to me anyway, and are easy on the shoulders. The one complaint that I have is, Tthey snag, like a nylon if adjusted. Once you find your length, leave them alone.

These braces are strong and comfortable. I have a big belly, so many braces I find don’t hold well or are uncomfortable. Not this pair! These are fantastic! They are value for money.
