This is really mushy until it is fried or heated and then turns into tasty sausage. Only had an issue with the delivery person delivering it to the wrong door!

Great tasting alternative to meat sausage if your are a vegetarian. Try pan grilling and placing in between pita bread with your favorite cheese then grill the bread again. Yummy!

The best veggie sausage on the market! Frys up great. I use a little olive oil or vegan butter to fry it in. You don’t need to add spices or seasonings. Smells and tastes amazing.Shape into patties or meatballs.Great as a protein-filled meal on its own. Fry up a patty and eat it on toast. Tastes amazing added to breakfast omelettes or as a side with pancakes. Shape into meatballs and serve with spaghetti. So many creative ways to serve this healthy dish!

For more than 20 years these were the best veggie sausage available. I'm not sure this was always a Lightlife product, but at some point they took over and have now changed the recipe. The texture is off, they do not cook well - they just burn, and they do not have the quality homemade flavor they used to have. Tastes more like plastic or fake food than genuine sausage. Soooo sad. Was our go-to homemade sausage mcmuffin for years. Have no idea what we are going to do. Please bring back the original recipe!!

I was a huge fan of Gimme Lean sausage flavor for years and raved about it to friends. But packages I've bought recently didn't taste right -- instead of the luscious "real sausage but without the grease" flavor, they just taste like sharp pepper. They're spicy enough to be irritating, like you have to wash the hotness down with something and it leaves a lingering irritation in the throat. And yet oddly (considering that they've apparently increased the spice), they don't even have that rich, delicious sausage flavor anymore. It's like they're flavorless but they're just spicy enough to hurt your throat. Apparently the recipe was changed in mid-2021, and that explains why it's not good anymore. This is sad, because there are no products like the original Gimme Lean; I may try switching to meat-based sausage, but I don't want all that grease. I wish they would try to recapture the flavor of the original recipe. I won't be buying this anymore unless they announce that they're revising the recipe to try to correct this misfire.

It is a wonderful product as a burger or as a full meal with Bisto gravy. Very tasty but many vegetarians find it too meaty. I have loved this product for many years. U.S. A customers should shop around and try to buy locally. However it is vacuum packed but I buy in bulk and freeze the 'sausage' which is not used within a week once opened.

I'm on an ultra low fat diet and loved being able to eat these delicious fake sausage patties. No more! The recipe changed along with the packaging, and these are now fatty! You would think that adding fat would at least make them more appealing, moist, etc, but no, again. Stay away. Super disappointed.
