Finally stopped my cystic acne!
I've had acne my whole life, and it has come and gone in seasons due to age, hormones, birth control, pregnancy, etc. But, about two years ago, I started getting cystic acne, only on my chin. And this was different. It was only ever on my chin and it was persistent. NOTHING would help it. So I switched up my routine, and then I switched it again, and again. I tried prescription products, I tried almost everything I could think of to help it. Some things, like tretinoin, helped a bit. But, I would always, always have at least one cystic pimple on my chin, either coming in, or healing. The scars were the worst. I tried organic stuff, over the counter stuff, weird off brand treatments recommended on reddit. I stayed up for hours and it caused me so much anxiety. I tried different makeup, hair products, toothpaste. Anything I could think of... I had considered taking something internal for a while, but I have a sensitive stomach and I just loathe taking any kind of medicine or vitamins at all. (It took me 5-6 different kinds of prenatal vitamins before I found one I could take without bad side effects). I did drink spearmint tea for a while (supposedly similar to the prescription spironolactone), but it only helped a little. They just didn't get as big. But I was drinking 2-3 cups a day. Then I tried the capulets, but they only helped sometimes. And reviews of spironolactone warned me that as soon as I stopped taking it, I would have massive acne flare ups. Then I found out about DIM. It still took me a few months to commit to it. But after a pretty stressful month that produced a crazy breakout, I was done. I ordered the product and within a week, I saw a difference. Within a month, I'm blown away. I still get little pimples, but they are the kind that I've been covering up for years and more importantly, they don't hurt! (And likely due to some additional stress in my life). My chin has finally had a chance to heal and I don't feel the need to wear so much makeup all the time. On another note, my cramps haven't been as bad. My mood swings have improved 100% and I feel like myself again. Weight loss was not an issue for me, so I can't speak to that part. But I haven't gained weight because of it, so that's good! I had no idea hormonal imbalance could cause so many symptoms! The only thing that has not changed is that my skin is still very oily, but I fear that is just something I'll never have control of! I haven't changed anything else in my daily routine, so I know this is all thanks to DIM. I just wish I had tried it sooner!

Great supplement
This product was recommended to me for perimenopause. I have been taking DIM supplements for 1 year now and have noticed a significant difference in night sweats, mood swings, and dryness. So glad to have a supplement that helps with no side effects.

Honest Review: As a Woman living with uterine fibroids/heavy periods
UPDATE: (5/13/23) Wanted to give an update on this product. I've been taking it since I wrote this review (except for a month when I went off it). I stopped taking the D3 (one of the other supplements I was taking) -- I believe that it was leading to constant dehydration for me. I only take the Turmeric with Black Pepper *sometimes*, but overall, I don't take it anymore. Still faithful to taking the iron supplement and I still recommend the home-made smoothies that I mentioned. There was a month when I didn't buy a new bottle of this product (DIM 200) -- and then during my next period, I had several days of spotting past the fifth day (using DIM 200 had gotten my period back to five days with maybe a day of spotting afterward). So I bought a new bottle, and I'm back on DIM 200 -- I only take one pill every day or every other day plus the iron supplement. Also, I do think that this product is helping to curb my appetite, I'm not as hungry as I usually am and I'm finally starting to lose weight (wasn't intentional, but I'm not mad about it). I still recommend this product. I still also recommend -- if you have uterine fibroids -- to reduce or eliminate added sugar (for me, that means cutting back on sweets and letting go of soda). I believe that what we eat is very important. I also avoid any foods that act like/mimic/increase estrogen. And although some kinds of tea can be good for PMS/cramps/heavy bleeding, tea isn't good for you if you're anemic like me (tea can block iron absorption). Even further -- raspberry leaf tea helps menstrual issues, but it can increase estrogen and make fibroids worse (it is believed that fibroids are caused by estrogen dominance). As always, do your own research. I'm not a doctor. Always approach what you see written here (or on the internet) with hopeful curiosity, but also with a slightly critical eye and an openness to find out more. I didn't mean to write a book here, but I wanted other women like me to have hope about living with fibroids (I wasn't treated with care/gentleness when I was diagnosed and that hurt so much, I don't want anyone else to feel alone like I did). I hope this works for you. If you experience negative side effects (I've seen some reviewers who did), I hope you find a version of DIM 200 (offered by another company) that works for you. Thank you! ____________________________________________________________________________________ I'm going to tell you my experience with DIM 200, the other supplements I take with it, lifestyle changes I've made, and possible side effects -- in the hopes that this will help other women. So, around two months ago, I was diagnosed with uterine fibroids. I'm also anemic, which is likely connected to the fibroids. My symptoms became the worst around five or six months ago where my periods were six or seven days long (they are usually four or five days), I had really bad cramps, and I was bleeding so heavily that I was constantly having to run to the bathroom at work (I work in retail, so this just isn't feasible; sometimes, I would just have to call out on a heavy-bleeding day). Not knowing anything about fibroids, I did what I do best: 1) Became consumed by my own anxiety/panic/depression, and 2) Researched my butt off about this and what could help. I believe that almost everything has a solution or at least a way to improve the situation. About two or three weeks before my period post-diagnosis, I upped my iron intake (iron gummies weren't helping, so I switched to actual iron supplements AND I drink a lot of simple smoothies -- frozen or fresh fruit, a little honey, sometimes some ground flaxseed, plus as much unsweetened cocoa powder as I want because that stuff has 10% of your daily value of iron in each tablespoon). Supplements I started taking (besides DIM 200): D3 supplement, iron supplement. On the first day of my period, I started the DIM 200 and Turmeric with Black Pepper (plus the D3 and iron) because that's when they came in the mail. Let me tell you and this is the honest truth: During this period, I had only a few hours of heavy bleeding on one of the days, only a few smaller-sized clots, and I didn't have to rush to the bathroom due to "flooding." It was amazing! This is also the third month in a row that my period has been on time, but I attribute that to the increase in iron. I have never had a predictable period in my entire life. I still had cramps, and took a Tylenol to help with that, but my period was overall light to medium. Also, I felt good. Like emotionally and mentally good. I usually cope with PMDD, but this time, I felt (and still feel) good on the inside. Possible side effects: Another reviewer mentioned tightness in her lower back, and I had that, too -- it didn't last long, though, fortunately. It did worry me because I wasn't expecting it. I didn't have orange pee like a few other reviewers. I didn't feel any possible headaches, maybe because I was taking Tylenol for my cramps. Other lifestyle changes I've made: I'm getting more sleep at night (I was only getting about five hours -- if that -- at night) and not sleeping can throw off your hormones. I'm being mindful about my stress levels. I've drastically reduced my sugar intake, I don't eat red meat (I used to eat some for my anemia), and I am overall more mindful about what I eat. Would I recommend this product: I've only been on it for about two weeks, but so far, YES! I am so thankful that this exists, and I am so happy it is helping so many people, so many women. Please be sure to do your own research to see if this could work for you and whatever you're coping with, and I hope that if you try DIM 200, it works for you and helps you, too.

NEED HOT FLASH RELIEF??
This works!!! I had taken wild yam cream and black cohosh for months and they did nothing for my terrible hot flashes. I heard about this Dim supplement and bought a bottle with little hope for relief. After just 2 -3 days, my hot flashes were half the frequency and intensity!! I'm 52 and worried they would last for years but after 5 months of suffering hot flashes almost every hour, I finally found some help. I couldn't believe it. I tell everyone about this stuff. I just bought my second bottle.

Effective product
Been taking this for about three years now per my hormone replacement specialist. She is happy with my estrogen levels and I am enjoying the relief from anxiety. It really is effective! I was able to find another brand for less, but this is my backup if I can’t get that one!

Excellent Hormone Support with Clear, Noticeable Benefits
NOW Foods DIM 200 with Calcium D Glucarate has become one of the most effective and reliable supplements in my routine. I originally picked it up for hormone balance and general wellness, and the difference it made was more noticeable than I expected. The combination of DIM with calcium D glucarate works incredibly well together, and the formula feels clean, well dosed, and easy to digest. Within a couple of weeks, I started feeling more balanced and steady throughout the day. Mood swings leveled out, energy felt smoother, and that “sluggish” feeling I sometimes get completely disappeared. I also noticed my skin looking clearer, especially around the jawline where I tend to get hormonal breakouts. It wasn’t overnight, but the gradual improvement was unmistakable. Another thing I appreciate is how gentle it is. No stomach discomfort, no weird side effects, and no crash. Just a subtle but meaningful sense of improved well being. The capsules are easy to swallow, and the fact that it’s vegetarian and well formulated makes it easy to stick with long term. If you’ve been looking for support with hormone balance, skin clarity, or overall metabolic wellness, this is a fantastic choice. It’s effective, dependable, and delivers real results you can feel. A definite five star supplement.
