LAURA GELLER Baked Balance-n-Glow Illuminating Powder Foundation Porcelain

Ever since I got this in my ipsy bag about 6mos ago I've been in love!! I threw out all my liquid foundation, my pressed powder etc...this powder foundation is amazing! It literally is just like brushing on a 2nd layer of skin. It's not cakey like foundation n it's not powdery looking like powder, it's the perfect balance of buildable coverage, if u have certain things u want covered then trust me this will do it but if u just want a natural "better" version of ur own skin then this is THAT! I can't even explain how it does it but it goes on so easy with a makeup brush n is matte enough to look like actual skin but also has this kind of highlight in it to where it looks like real skin as well. Everybody knows that nobody has skin that is 100% matte naturally cuz we have pores n we naturally will glow in certain areas etc..AND everybody knows that nobody has naturally super luminous skin where your just shiny everywhere all the time so if u dnt have time for instance one morning, to do ur highlight...ur all good w this compact alone! U will still look NATURALLY glowing! Me, myself love a strong highlight so I always do a bit of contour n then a snatched highlight above my cheekbones, my cupids bow above my lip, n down the center line of my nose n then use left over on brush to swipe along my temples, arch of eyebrows n top of forehead but I have woken up late 4 wrk sum mornings n took my 2mins to brush on a light layer of this n been extremely happy walking out the door cuz I looked like I just woke up n left but BETTER! nobody could tell I had ANY makeup on, just super healthy, good, skin that had a natural glow. Or 4 the days u dnt want 2b "done up" n dnt feel like doing a full makeup face...just using this compact, shaping ur brows, a lil mascara n sum tinted lip balm n u will look amazing. I swear I will praise n preach about this product FOREVER n TO whoever will listen bcuz its THAT damn good! Just pick the shade that's as close to ur skin color as possible n ur good to go! Btw, that's another thing about it...it magically finds a way to match ur real skin color even if u dnt get the exact color u needed! Of course if ur like a fair/light and u buy a deep tan u already no thats NOT going to happen on any level(or any planet lol) but if ur just a shade or 2 off it will work itself out. It never looks fake, it's so natural that's y I love it as well cuz I tan alot n there's been times I stop tanning for a month or so n I was able to still use the same compact after I had faded ALOT n it never looked bad, it somehow blended itself n I used a big fluffy brush to brush some down my neck a bit(which I do everyday anyway) n it never looked like I had a dark face n light skin at all! It looked like at most, I had a lil bronzer on or had a tad bit of sun on my face but blended seamlessly in with the rest of my body. So anyways yeah!! This product is life!! I also use other laura Gellar products now like her lip scrub lipstick which is all natural n wrks beautifully in getting old dead skin cells n anything else off ur lips b4 u apply ur lip product of choice n ur lips look 100 times better! But yea Laura Gellar baked balance powder foundation ALL THE WAY! I promise u will get rid of all other face products u thought u needed b4!! (Aside from ur blush/bronzer and highlighter if u use those things)

A wonderful product. So easy to use and doesn’t look powdery on the skin. Also has a nice glow. Not heavy coverage but enough to smooth the look of my skin. So easy to use. I forgot to order the application brush but had my old Bare Minerals version and it works fine. Also comes off easy with light facial cleanser. Love it.

I am totally speechless! I am a 46 year old transwoman from Missouri, and I wear full coverage make-up most days, and I don't like it. I always feel weighed down, and icky, after a couple hours. I ordered *Light,* and applied it with a domed foundation brush. Today, it's 95°, and I was in and out of buildings running errands all day. Sweating all day. I didn't my makeup at 8:30 this morning. It's 4:00pm now, and I'm not cakey, streaking, or worn down at all. Not even a little bit. It looks just like it did when I left the house. I am full-on amazed!! On top of that, it feels S0 much better not having various liquid layers on my face. It genuinely feels pretty weightless, and natural. There is no primer, a tiny bit of concealer, and a smidge of powder. All day long. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart!!

This is the best foundation for Mature skin! It doesn't settle, and gives you just enough coverage and a subtle glow. My only complaint is the compact. My last two have broken at the hinge randomly while closing, so it's difficult to close the top and feel it's secure if taking it traveling.

I love this pressed powder. Being in my early 50s now, I try to get away from liquid foundations and switched to pressed powders. I used Physicians Formula for a while and liked it, but it seems a bit heavy at times (I still like it). Decided to splurge and buy this one, and the way it goes on absolutely works for me. The first layer seems non-existent, it’s so light. But with each layer you can achieve the look and complexion that you want. I don’t use brush, I like to use soft pads, it gives me more control and less messy like it could be with brushes. I’ve been using it for a while and still seems like I haven’t even scratched the surface of it, meaning it will last a long time. It evens out my skin color and hides various red spots pretty well. And what’s most important, it hadn’t irritated my skin like a lot of liquid makeup. To me, it’s worth the money. Will update if something changes.

I love the foundation and I have tried to be really careful in opening and closing the lid but I have bought it twice and both times after awhile the compartment breaks. Your product is good but please make a stronger compartment for it Laura!

I'm new to Laura Geller products but I have been searching for a light weight foundation to even out my skin tone and not buildup in my wrinkles and dry spots so I figured I would try it. I have been using it for 3 weeks now and am very impressed with how it makes my 63 year old skin look and feel, as well as the ease of application. Please note that this is their lightest coverage product, there are two others offered that offer a different level of coverage. I also invested in their Hydrating Spackle primer (very light weight and soaks into your skin nicely) and I think this makes all the difference in the world to skin prep for makeup application and I will highly recommend it (I will leave a review on that product separately). I also suggest using a kabuki brush for effective foundation application and the ability to build up this product if you so choose( I have purchased 2 retractable ones from another company for around $9 each and they work great). Applied alone this product will not cover all of your imperfections, although it does help to blur them due to the type of finish it leaves. If you want to cover those problem areas, you can choose to get LG cover-up to use lightly on those areas and then use the powder foundation. For casual wear I use the primer and this foundation. Add some blush and then do whatever else you want to finish your look. Before I purchased this product I did some research and I highly recommend going to their store site on Amazon and looking at the various tutorials they have available. I found these tutorials to be very helpful and learned tons of info on products specs, quick tips, application methods, quantities to use, makeup ideas, the different products available etc. I find it to be a very easy product line to use. I watched for items to go on sale and I even got two free BOGO items as a special deal (they were blush sets). So far I am very happy with what I have purchased, the colors are very pigmented and of high quality. The quantities look small because you use very little of each product. No buildup of product in facial lines so far for any products used. My skin type is normal but leaning towards dry due to low humidity and winter cold where I live ( plus age and not taking care of my skin when younger!). I currently do not use any fillers or injections but I do use a different company's skin care line both morning and evening. I apply the Spackle over my skin care line without any problems or reactions. 30 day return window if you don't like it so you can't lose.

Very minimal coverage. It all depends on your needs. Although it is clean, smooth and easy to apply, it is not the product I need.

I wear a very light foundation then put the Laura Gellar Balance n Glow Illuminating foundation over the top to give a beautiful light from within. It is very a suttle glow , which looks beautiful. Doesn't settle into fine lines and wrinkles and is buildable. I get a deeper shade to put all over my large forhead.
