Perfect for sous vide cooking!
Works perfectly for keeping food below the waterline for even sous vide cooking! I prefer using my all clad pan vs a plastic container. And no problem the magnets are very strong to attract each other. Also a option just put it to the bottom then you don't have to use 2.

Easy to use, strong and great value - exactly as advertised
We were a bit skeptical at first and unsure if the weights would be heavy or strong enough to keep our fatty meats and veggies from moving, but after multiple uses we can say that these magnets are exactly as advertised. They’re compact, heavy and strong, and I’m amazed by how effective they are ever time. So easy to use! We’ve tried them in multiple positions and have not had any issue with floating bags since. We mainly stick them directly onto the edge of the bags and let them “free float/sink” as it seems to be best for water circulation. As the magnets are used on the outside of bags, no cleaning needed after cooking is also a nice bonus.

They work great!
They hold bags down well. I had to fight them a little with one bag to keep it down but for the most part the do a good job.

Great Item, Great Service
After a single use 2 of the magnets developed very small cracks. I sent a product failure message in and was told to box up the bad items and send them back postage free. I followed the instructions and placed the box in an Amazon return locker and the next day I had 2 new magnets. Not only do the magnets work great, but the customer service is fantastic. I purchased an additional pair and use them often. They are perfect for anyone with a sous vide.

Keep your food completely submerged!
These heavy duty magnets are heavy weight and quality. They stick for the duration of your sous vide cooking and maintain your bag completely submerged under water for even cooking. MUST HAVE!!

Smaller than expected
After investigating several different methods for weighing down meats during a sous vide cooking cycle in my Instant Pot, I decided on these weighted magnets. After using them a couple of times, these are the results: PRO: Small, easy to clean, coated so they won't rust, can be used for other needs as well. CON: Could be a little larger and heavier. I used them in my Instant Pot, which the magnets did not adhere to. So, I put 2 magnets in the bottom of the pot and 2 inside the sous vide bag at the bottom of the bag. Then placed the bag in the pot so that the 2 sets of magnets would "stick together" and hold the meat down. It was a good theory but didn't work out quite that way because I used a freezer zippered bag and vacuum sealed it using the water displacement method. That allowed the bag to stay secured to the bottom of the pot but the meat slid up inside the bag to the top of the water. Hmmm. Ended up removing the magnets from the bottom of the pot and placing them on a small trivet on top of the meat to hold it down. That mostly worked. Smaller piece of meat and smaller bag might have done the trick. But really wish the weights were a little heavier. One set of 2 is definitely not heavy enough.

Very Strong Magnets
These magnets are super strong and work perfectly. I see some comments about cracking, but the seller reached out to me to offer new ones if mine crack or lose magnetisim. Apparently 1/2% have issues, that is not a bad defect rate. Big deal if the cover crack, they are magnets... if it bothers you ask for a replacement, pull the cover off and have 2 sets.

Not vital but oh so nice!
I almost didn't buy these magnets. We love to sous vide and we use a vacuum sealer most of the time so we don't have huge problems with the bags floating. But the cost was low enough I basically said what the heck! I'm glad I did because I've found myself using them more than I expected. I have a food grade plastic container we use for the sous vide and the magnets easily and solidly hold through the plastic. I love that I can store them on the fridge when I'm not using them and because of the sous vide process they don't really get dirty but I could easily rinse them off if they did. So overall worth the small investment to keep items exactly where you want them to be and completely under water.

I’m buying again I like them so much
I was nervous about spending this much on magnets especially after reading about the quality issues. I’ve cooked 36 hour ribs with this at 145f and the magnets are great. Those are vacuum sealed ribs so they’re not hard to hold down. I’ve cooked maybe 10 times with them so can’t totally be confident in quality but 4 of those cooks were 24 hour + Today I did loose chicken breast with veggies that made the bag difficult to keep down In a ziplock. The magnets did a good job keeping them down. They worked through my plastic food safe bin. I’d recommend putting the magnets so they snap together out of water then use a wooden spoon (or metal but it gets hot and wooden ones tend to be longer) and then slide the wet side with the spoon and match the dry side with your hand. I am writing this as I am ordering another pair. There isn’t much out there for these types of items. I suspect I can use regular earth magnets but can’t bear convenience of Amazon.

These weighted magnets working in hygienic way
The magnets are strong and their weights are generally sufficient to weigh down floating sealed bag. However, more weights may yield better results. The best thing is that these weighted magnets are used outside the sealed bag and they do not make contact with the food inside the bag.
