Wahoo Fitness KICKR BIKE PRO Indoor trainer

I’ve had a Wahoo Bike V2 for years and even if this one has only some minor upgrades, it cost only slightly more than the previous model. So perhaps not worth the upgrade but because I needed it for a second location it was a no-brained for me.

I'm unable to get some of the features to work, like the tilt whle in Zwift. the right crank assembly/pedal is doing something weird that makes my knee feel like it's clicking. Maybe it is my knee but I think not. The top tube, or the handle bar assembly, is a bit creaky and I haven't yet been able to adjust it. That said, I'm very pleased overall. I graduated from a Peloton spin bike and the difference between the two is remarkable, I didn't think it would be. Next best thing than riding on the streets.

Tenía mucho interés en este producto (aunque ya conocía su historial de fallos reportados por la comunidad, quería pensar que Wahoo había puesto medidas sobre esto). Pero tras sólo 16 días de uso el producto presenta un defecto mecánico claramente reproducible: en la biela izquierda se producen ruidos de “clack/golpes” y una vibración que se nota físicamente en el pie, pero solo cuando el freno magnético está en carga. He realizado una prueba directa con la app oficial de Wahoo, sin usar Rouvy, para descartar problemas de software. Durante los primeros minutos, sin carga, todo funciona correctamente. A partir de 5 minutos de pedaleo con pendientes simuladas del 8–9%, comienzan sonidos y golpes en la biela izquierda, incluso con potencias moderadas. Esto demuestra un fallo interno en el eje/rodamiento del freno, ya que el problema aparece únicamente cuando la unidad se calienta y trabaja bajo resistencia, y no es un problema de montaje ni de software, sino de mecánica interna. La voy a de volver, aunque estaba contento con el producto.

I have one of these and wanted another for a second home. The good things about the trainer is the adjustability, low noise, and great flywheel. The bad thing is the ultra cheap components (seat post adjuster, handle bar) - worse than the cheapest bike you’d get at Walmart. Despite these shortcomings, I ordered one from Amazon when on sale. The bike arrived looking like the box had been tossed down multiple flights of stairs (see pics). Returned without a problem but very disappointed it would be shipped like this.
