Explorer 1000 v2 Portable Power Station,1070Wh,1500W | 1 Hr Fast Charge, LiFePO4 Battery, 100W USB-C Output, Solar Generator for Camping, Emergency, RV (Solar Panel Optional)

Many of you are probably like me having a tough time deciding between Delta 2 or Explorer 1000v2. The 2 are almost identical in all aspects. Both Ecoflow and Jackery are good brands, and you can expect good build quality and reliability. Seems that the Explorer is always priced at $50 below the Delta 2. At the end, I picked the Explorer. The rationale was simple. I could not find any justification to spend $50 more for the Delta 2. On Black Friday, net price for Explorer was $349, which was a no brainer. For reference I paid $400 for the Ecoflow River 2 Pro 8 months ago. I use these power stations primarily during power outage. If you run them 24/7, your buying decision may be different. Expandability is not a factor for me (the add-on batteries are never cheap anyway), nor is solar charging. I deploy the power stations distributively wherever power is needed, rather than building them into a centralized power source. Here are the main differences between the Explorer and the Delta 2 that I considered. - The Explorer is $50 cheaper ($349 vs $399 on Black Friday) - The Explorer has a good LED lamp which is handy during power outage. - The Explorer has bigger capacity (1070Wh vs 1024) - The Explorer is 3 lbs lighter. To me, anything over 25lb is only marginally portable. - The Explorer lacks 12vdc barrel plug ports which Ecoflow has. You will need an adapter to draw 12vdc from the Explorer's cigarette socket. - The solar port on the Explorer not as common as that on the Delta 2. - The AC sockets are upfront on Explorer whereas Delta's are in the back. I prefer them to be upfront. I see no advantage of them in the back, except maybe it looks neater to have the cables in the back if you have a semi-permanent installation. Definitely better to have them upfront for emergency use. On charging. When I first got my Explorer, it was 80% charged. And it seemed stuck at a very slow charging rate of about 300W. Installing the mobile app and selecting the "emergency boost mode" made no difference while selecting the slower quiet mode actually made it charge faster. I thought I had a defective unit for sure. But after draining the battery, the battery then charged between 600 to 800W most of the time at the default fast mode until near the top-off stage. Hitting the boost mode did take it up to 1000W level. Even quiet mode got over 300W. I am convinced that the unit can be fully charged using the default fast mode in well under 2 hours, and that is good enough for me. Even at the default fast mode, it was much quieter than my Ecoflow River 2 pro. The quiet mode does bring down the noise to an unobtrusive level. The inverter on the Explorer seems excellent. The ac output was very steady at 120V, never dropping below 119V on 100W draw. Somehow the Explorer feels less beefy and solid than the Ecoflow, perhaps because of its hinged handle? It is nonetheless rugged enough that I have no concern. At the end, I got $50(+tax) more in my pocket. It's hard to argue with that.

Powers my boat at anchor. I bought a 110v to 50amp pigtail and plug one outlet from this unit into my shore power inlet. Once disconnected from shore power I plug in the pigtail from the Jackery 1000 and connect to the shore power inlet. Turn off unwanted breakers and turn on shore power. Power management is key of course. I turn off all high power consumers and unnecessary devices. It runs 3 small refrigerators, ice maker, and a fan for 7-8 hours. It really is amazing. Run the generator for about an hour and a half to recharge and she’s ready for another round. I want to expand for more capacity but have been very very pleased with this power station!! It’s easy to move around, charging is fast, and very easy to use.

This battery is awesome. I am a service electrician and I’ll take it when I’m doing a new meter for a customer and they plug in there fridges/freezers or keep there internet and computer on so they can work and I will use it with my large hammer drill to cut through masonry or hammer in 8 ft ground rods with no problem. The main thing I bought it for was camping. I have a Cpap and it’s important that I use it or I’m miserable the whole time and no one sleeps. I had a small portable battery that can give me on to two nights. But all the amenities are turned off (ie no heated air or humidity) just air pressure. With this thing I did a two day camp and I left everything maxed. Still had 30%. Just did a 4 night camp and turned humid and tube temp down a little but still on and I was burning 15-20% battery a night. The best part is that I have a 100w portable solar panel and as long as I had sun it could charge it up to full or near full. (Sometimes you have to baby sit solar panels to get the best wattage). But I also have the 12/24v car charger. If we were driving to a lake or hike. I plug it in and it again would charge it to full or near full by the time I got back. It’s so cool the app for me works amazing. Even with no service I could connect to it with Bluetooth from 30 is ft away and turn on the light or check the status. Used it in the tent as a night light for the kiddos and could turn it off from my camp chair. So cool.

I went back and forth on this for awhile before finally pulling the trigger because it definitely is an expensive buy for something that you probably don't really need. Let's face it, it's a "convenience" or a "dad likes his toys" buy. I know some folks have bemoaned that it can't power some appliances for very long but that's not really what it's intended purpose is. Jackery makes all kinds of power solutions that are deisgned as home backup but this isn't that. At 1070 Watt hours you're certainly not powering anything approaching a home appliance for any measurable amount of time. I've tested it with some of my tools as well and the results were as expected. Rigid 3hp shop vac, no problem (though it does suck the battery life, went from 95% to 60% in about 15/20 minutes). Smaller corded tools (dremmel, palm sanders, larger 6 inch sanders, biscuit joiner, domino joiner) no problem. It waived the white flag though when I tried a larger 12" D/B sliding miter saw. I pull the trigger and the blade spun about a quarter of a turn. So probably not a bad investment for a jobsite, but it won't power everything. Where this thing shines though is the fun stuff. Going to a youth soccer tournament in New England in December? Bring this bad boy, a few 120v heated blankets, the 120v boot and glove warmer, the K-cup machine for hot chocolate, and whatever else you can think of and everybody will look at you like your crazy at the beginning. Then by the second half of the first game you'll be the king of the sideline Dad's. Right up until your daughter steals it and the heated blankets for the team bench on the last game of the tournament. My son has used it car camping down by the beach and it's pretty awesome for anything you'd need. Way to heavy for through hiking (obviously). I really can't think of anything bad to say about it, the app is super easy to use, the battery life seems great, and you can run "most" power tools off it too. Plus you can buy solar panels that will charge this off grid if you're so inclined. My wife thought I was a little crazy, but now it's a staple at any out door gathering or sporting event.

I've had it a year now. It's great but if you're running a car refrigerator and you are full-time nomadic traveler and stay in one place for an extended period of time, say one week, you'll need something bigger. Caveat, presently I do not have enough solar to fully charge it and that will change soon. Car charging goes pretty good on long drives using my 4Runner lighter outlet. It's not quick but gets the job done. I have not tried USB-C cables yet but am purchasing 2 today. Keep an eye on the charging cord adapter ends as they could heat up if cheaper ones are purchased and/or are not connected tightly to the female port on the side of the unit. Buy extra, they're cheap and worth it. There are 2 side ports for input BTW. Wifi seems to work well when activated. I just wish it would stay on overnight instead of having to turn it back on to check power level every few hours. Good charger but I'll be upgrading in the future. My fridge is a BougrRV one zone cheapest model they had. I paid about $464 through Amazon in July 2025.

i bought this to power my cpap machine during power outages. my cpap is vital to my sleep and well being and i can’t go one night without it. this fit the bill perfectly. several ac plugs and one DC plug, also features fast charging usb c and one regular usb.this battery also features a small led light. my inital testing revealed that i can get around 2 nights (8 hrs) or so out of the battery, however, i have yet to purchase the DC plug that is more efficent in running the cpap than AC. for my testing, i left the humidity and heated hose set to auto, thus consuming more of the battery. battery build quality is amazing and feels solid. the weight comes in just shy of 30 pounds, and has a foldable handle for easy carrying. you can also charge with optional solar panels, or by ac plug (the solar panels aren’t included, nor is a car dc charger. packaged well and wasn’t damaged during shipping. made in america too. this is also very useful if you live off the grid or like to go camping. this battery can handle devices all the way up to 1500 Watts. nice screen that gives you estimate on run times, along with a pretty nice app as well. i am going to continue testing and see how it does and i will post updates as time goes on. so far, good value for the money. 6 update 5/25/26*** ordered dc inverter for my resmed 10 cpap machine. proud to report that i can now get 4-5 (7 hour nights or so) use out of this battery, even with the humidifier on. with the other ac/dc plug i could only get around 10 total hours or so. a dc inverter is a must if your using this for cpap and want long battery run times. great battery! update 7/16/26*** this has paid for itself several times over, since i bought it 5 months ago. we had power outage that lasted around 3 hours, automatically switched over to battery power, my cpap machine and a box fan came right on. i can't say enough good things about this battery. if you rely on cpap, please get one of these. they are truly a lifesaver. you never know when the power may go out. I have to have a working cpap machine, if not my next day will be full of headaches, and ill be extremely sleepy all day. LOVE LOVE LOVE this!

Handy, quick charging, long lasting. A lot easier to deal with than a gas generator

We have not yet used it to power any devices/appliances, etc. We tested it out and it seemed to work very well. We are very impressed that after several weeks it has held its charge at 100%. We only charged it once last month. It is compact and easy to carry around the house.

Purchased this for our camping trips. It arrived in factory sealed packaging and was packaged very well. Unfortunately, when we opened it, the AC cable was missing. Contacted Jackery and they sent a new cable immediately. Tried it out this last weekend and it worked perfect! Will be ordering a second set of solar panels as well. Highly recommend!
