After nearly 7 years of daily abuse from both full-time work and marathon gaming sessions, these wheels are finally retiring — and honestly, that’s one of the best compliments I can give them. These caster wheels were an instant upgrade over the stock wheels on my Herman Miller Aeron and completely changed how the chair felt rolling across hardwood floors. The rollerblade-style design glides incredibly smoothly and quietly. No more scratching sounds, no more fighting the chair to move around, and best of all… no ugly plastic chair mat taking over the office floor. The soft rubber wheels handled hardwood perfectly and never caused damage or marks, and later even carpet was no match. What impressed me most was the durability. Most office chair wheels start cracking, sticking, or flattening out after a year or two of heavy use. These survived nearly seven years of constant movement, late-night gaming rage scoots, long workdays, and plenty of rolling back and forth across the room. These wheels cost probably half of what I paid for the chair, but they are by far the best feature of it now. Roll quietly and smoothly over carpet (see note below) and vinyl flooring, and I haven't had any issues with the functionality of them. They installed super easily in my chair (a Furmax office chair from Amazon), so no issues there either. I have been using these wheels for 5 months now and put an estimated 750 hours of usage on them, and I weigh ~170 lbs. One note: I have been using these wheels on the carpet in my apartment (which is pretty cheap carpet), and it does tear up the carpet over time with frequent use. Yes, it's stated in the product listing not to use them on soft carpet, just figured I would give my experience since I did it anyway. I think it's wearing out the carpet because the wheels are grippy rubber/polyurethane and pushing the chair around causes the wheels to change direction frequently, and when this happens the wheels rub the carpet fibers in different directions and cause them to become matted. Again, this is stated in the product listing, but be aware that these wheels are not great for carpet with any pile greater than super low pile "business" carpet. If you use them directly on most residential carpet, especially cheap or softer carpet, it will tear it up over time.

Not only do these wheels roll easily, they added a half inch in height to my chair. Easy upgrade and worth every bit of the cost and effort to install. Great product, good price and work outstandingly. Did I mention they look great on my new respawn gaming chair? Purchased on Sept 23 2018, as of Jan 17 I find the wheels have loosened from their mount. They are still in use and do still roll but there is a wobble in them that is annoying. After approximately 6 months I have been picking up ball bearing that have fallen from these wheels. Not sure why but the race has widened enough for them to escape. I enjoy the ease with which they roll and will be ordering a new set but am not very happy with the prospect of having to reorder so often. To be perfectly frank, I bought these for the quality. I am 6'1" tall and weigh 214 lbs, well within the load limit posted by manufacturer.

These casters are a really nice upgrade for your desk chair. If you are like me, you will find yourself moving the chair pretty often over the course of a normal workday. In my home office with thicker carpet, this was an annoying task... until I got these casters. Now I can move the chair easily even on a poor rolling surface. A little additional testing on hardwood confirms what other reviewers have stated: these casters make a huge difference. Less noise, no damage to the floor, and a tractable glide. Bonus: The quieter movement keeps the cats and rabbit calm during peak home office shenanigans, so when the chasing starts I can get into viewing position without interrupting the flow... key. No more missed Binkys!

I bought these wheels to replace the casters on my Herman Miller Aeron chair. They are really easy to install and are really smooth and quiet. My chair glides without effort on the floor. My only complaint is that these wheels don't have a locking mechanism in case you want to keep your chair stationary. I discovered the room I use it in has a very slight subtle incline. So if I get up from my chair, it starts sliding to the other side of the room.

Ordered 3 sets of these wheels to put on desk chairs in my house. We have recently installed all new bamboo flooring and rather than replace the yucky floor mats we used on our previous hard wood which do damage the finish over time, we decided to try these out. It's been right at a month since we got them, and so far so good. They have not left a single mark on my floors. For the most part, they roll smoothly and easily. I am a writer so my chair is in use for upwards of 12 hours a day almost every day. I have experienced no issues so far. I have 2 labs and with them there is always, always dog hair in my floors. This was a problem over time with the regular style chair wheels. Eventually, hair and crud would get caught up in them and they'd start to roll badly. Not happening with these at all. The only negative (not really) thing I have to say is that I am cautious when pushing back from my desk, based on some of the other reviews where people reported the wheels broke when trying to roll with them in a "sideways" position. I occasionally feel a slight resistance when I push to roll, which is the wheels turned crossways. When I do, I just do a little side to side wiggle as I roll back and they turn and roll with no problems. Really a non-issue as long as someone doesn't need to leap up from their desk like Superman. Would definitely buy these again assuming they continue to hold up and will be recommending them to anyone with hardwood floors rather than those cruddy plastic mats. :)

The OPTTICO Casters I ordered were to replace the noisy, plastic, stock wheels, that came on my government issued desk chair. The original casters, worked fine, however they were destroying the tile flooring, were noisy, and collected any debris they rolled over. The I don't expect to take this chair when I leave however wanted to have a smoother, less damaging, silent set of wheels, while using this office and this chair.
