Gray Bunny Squirrel Proof Bird Feeders for Outdoors 6 Port Metal Tube

So far it’s been working well. The little chickadees have been having a ball feeding from it and the little spillage on the ground gets enjoyed by other small birds and doves. I had an issue with trying to get it open for refilling. The instructions said to lift and slide the top back. I thought mine was defective. It actually twists. Hold the ring and twist to unscrew the top. It takes about 8-9 turns and the top comes right off. Mine unscrews and screws back easily. I’m thinking someone with mobility issues with their hands shouldn't have too much problem with it. Overall I’m very pleased with it.

I have bought so many bird feeders for my garden. Each time, squirrels have figured out how to chew holes in them or throw them to the ground to scatter the seed. These are the best, most economical bird feeders that I have found. The six perches are metal & can't be chewed off. The top has a ring and a looped cord to use as hangers. I use both on my shepherd hooks. They act as a safety net that deter my jumping squirrels. The only thing that takes time is when you screw on the top. Again, squirrel deterrent.

Overall, a good feeder. It's easy to fill and looks nice. When full of seeds, I get 6 birds on the feeder at the same time. I am unsure of the squirrel protection. Got my first squirrel once I got this feeder (after 15+ years of living here). It is a ground squirrel and so far, has not climbed the tree to get to the feeder as there are plenty of seeds that fall to the ground. Beware of these cute fuzzy creatures - mine has killed and eaten a bird! (look up carnivorous squirrels if you're interested) I have two complaints. The first is that the underside of the top lid and the base have rust. I live in the coastal desert but it has rained the past few days. Considering I've only had this for a few weeks, I was a bit shocked to see the rust. The openings/perches are still in perfect condition. The second complaint is that seed debris falls between the clear plastic cylinder and the base. I can't remove the base to get these out. I'm afraid to clean with water as this might create the perfect conditions for mold growth. It is a very affordable feeder and served my purpose to figure out whether feeding birds was worthwhile. It is! BTW, it took about 2-3 weeks for the birds to start using, even though I placed close to a bird bath that gets a lot of use. Now I get a variety of birds throughout the day and need to fill it every day. I fill with black oil sunflower seeds as I read this was the most nutritious food and usually does not attract mice, which like the grains (read bird seed ingredients carefully).

Pretty big size. Birds love it but squirrels are disappointed. Hurrah! Easy to refill and assembly. Paint is sturdy not peeling.

Love this bird feeder. The top screws on so the squirrels can’t get it off. And the pegs don’t come out which is huge because the squirrels like to destroy my other feeder. It’s also beautiful. It’s the perfect feeder for my backyard.

The feeder is well made, attractive and squirrel proof. What I didn't like is the process of screwing and unscrewing the top. I refill mine outdoors in any weather and I find the process of removing and reattaching the top to be inconvenient.

As advertised. Finches love it.

Works well, and is secure. I didn't want to use the tacky black wires that it came with, so I hung it by the loop on top and it works just fine. Unfortunately if you're looking for something pretty, this won't be it hence the four stars. It rust extremely quickly. See photos. You will need a extended bottle cleaner to clean it well. So far squirrels haven't bothered it much. It doesn't hold as much as my other bird houses but at least I'm not wasting as much seed.

Ideal keeps seed dry no waste from over spill ,keeping vermin and un wanted birds away. good price and standards would use this site again.

J'apprécie cette mangeoire car chaque ouverture est adéquate pour les mésanges, bruants, chardonneret... c'est ce que je recherchais. De plus le lavage est facile car les perchoirs ne traversent pas de bord en bord la mangeoire donc on peut atteindre le fond de la mangeoire sans avoir à contourner tous les petits poteaux

Nice looking and well built bird feeder. Top unscrews to refill seed. Perfect size feeding holes for small finches.
