Lion Brand Yarn Company is a lovely silky soft yarn which has a thick texture, therefore, it might not suit crochet or knitting patterns which show a lot of detail on the pattern. It is perfect for nice warm garments or for those times when you want yarns that look just as good as the texture feels. A great yarn which I am very happy to recommend.

Beautiful colour, soft and easy to work with

I've gotten this yarn in a variety of colors and like it quite a bit. It's a nice bulky yarn that has a pretty soft feel to it. I also like that although it's acrylic, it doesn't seem to have much stretch to it. Depending on your project, that could be a good thing or bad thing. I've used it for a few different projects like fingerless gloves and baskets and have found it works well for different types of items. I've also been impressed with how many different color options are available. It's not super expensive either which is great. My only complaint, and the reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5, is that it seems to split very easily. When I use it, I feel like I am always fighting to stop it from splitting which can get annoying. But other than that, I like this yarn a lot and I can see myself continuing to use it in the future.

It's overall good yarn, but I was disappointed just now to be knitting along and suddenly I'm presented with a knot because somebody (seller? yarn company?) tied the yarn together. Being a new knitter, this is a complication I wasn't anticipating and am frustrated about. I expected I might need to start a new strand of yarn at the end of the skein, but not right in the middle of it! Now I may need to unravel a row in order to combine the strands, so I took away a few stars for that.

The yarn is very soft and a joy to have a final product from, but the several-threads-in-one-strand style can make it difficult to work with. Partially because the hook (or knitting needle) can too easily be inserted in the middle of the strand, and also because the strands can unwind a bit through the natural twisting of the yarn counter to how it was spun. The latter problem does not tend to show in the products though. ALSO the given picture clearly shows the yarn to have a somewhat dappled or variegated color, but the yarn I received from both shipments were one, solid color. A pleasing color, but not the colors plural I was expecting.
