I use this on my clothes if I have a stain on it. Just spray the area and let it sit for a few and wash. Stains come out. Works great. Great value for the money.

Works for regular tar… not as good on really bad asphalt
My in-laws unknowingly let my truck take a bath in newly laid asphalt. So far, this is probably the best product out of everything I have used so far (RainX Bug&Tar, Goo Gone Automotive, and regular old WD-40), but it still isn’t amazing, and it is definitely the most expensive. It will get the tar/asphalt off your paint, but you have to let it set for a while before taking it off, it’s not as great on the plastic trim. You will have to wipe/rub it off, which I was trying to avoid because of the amount of rocks/sand in my situation. I went through two cans to get as much off as I did. I believe this will get a lot of what I want off, but it is going to take a lot more and a lot more elbow grease. So I am going to try something else first to hopefully save some dough. Also, DO NOT get it on your skin, I wore gloves and long sleeves, but a little bit of wind came through when I was spraying and it got on my neck… it is pretty irritating. Not melting my skin or anything, but definitely not comfortable.

Worked pretty good on old brittle logo adhesive.
Used it to remove old logo adhesive that had been sun baked on older paint job. got most of it off but required deeper abrasive to finish.
