Wash well before first use.
I've bought 4 sets of this bedding in different patterns. I would say they need at least 3 to 4 washes before they are well softened but once they are, they're lovely.

Lovely design
I loved the design pattern and colour of this duvet it's a spare for the single bed. Initially I was disappointed with feel of the material it was quite rough but then I realised cotton has starch and chemicals added by manufacturer. I washed it as normal and it was still the rough! I looked up how to remove the starch and found a post recommending running a wash run with bedding setting but on zero temperature and NO washing powder tried it and it worked. It feels a lot softer now!! Thought I'll add this to my review in case anyone else wants theirs to feel soft.

Nice material
The material is very good quality and washed very well, a little ironing left the bedding nice and soft. Would recommend.

Poor seam quality
The quality of the material is very good and feels like real cotton however the quality of the sewing is poor. The seams have broken in several places. Fortunately I have a sewing machine so can repair.

Good quality
Very nice quality. Very soft unlike some quilt covers that are rough when new. I washed it twice with fabric conditioner before use.
