I left my charger at a rental house and needed a replacement for my Acer Aspire 5 - A515-45. This charger has the correct voltage output, but a higher amperage output (original charger had 2.37a output and this has 3.42). I bought this to replace one that was broken. The broken one still could work if I held it in just the right position, but who wants to be sitting there holding a charging cord in place. Well, this charger does charger my laptop, but loosely. So now I'm still dealing with trying to find the right position every time I need to charge my laptop, and then set it up with something to hold it in place. What was the point of buying a new one?
