This is my 2-yr old cat’s FAVORITE food! She will disdainfully eat the chicken but she thinks beef and liver is where it’s at. Given the repulsive nature of wet cat food for human olfactory senses, this doesn’t smell as bad as some others. Jackson Galaxy says the worst wet cat food is better than the best dry cat food and to just get the best wet cat food you can afford. Fancy Feast seems to be middle of the road when it comes to wet cat food quality. It’s not premium. (Someone didn’t go out and hunt mice and serve them fresh. Bleak.) But it’s decent and within my budget. It meets the 10% protein threshold and “meat products” (bleck! again) isn’t in the top 5 ingredients. I have this on auto ship and save even more that way. Plus I don’t have it lugged home from the store. It shows up on my doorstep on the regular.

My cat is very particular and gets sick eating alot of different cat food. It caused me to worry because she was losing weight, then I tried giving her Fancy Feast beef and liver feast and its been a god send for us. My cat loves it, she doesn't get sick and even gets excited to eat which makes me happy. She loves the texture of the feast and the price is perrrrrrfect for me. The ingredients are a nice mix with a slice of liver on top. It looks great to her and smells great to her

Taste wise I give 5 stars, but be aware it is a liver product that causes health issues in elderly cats. Once cats love it, my cats were difficult to switch their favorite flavor. Causes/worsens kidney disease. But eating in elderly cats is better than starving to death as most health issues lead to the problem of lack of appetite, even with Mirtazapine. Second half beyond containing an organ meat like liver, is the Tricalcium Phosphate which can be substituted with another ingredient that doesn’t cause disease. Most popular cat foods use too much Tricalcium Phosphate. Use various brands, read labels and I found it extended the life of my cats. As cats age find Omega 3 broths and foods to supplement their favorites/basics that have Tricalcium Phosphate, gums, and other engineered preservatives. Simply don’t start them on the advertised brands if you can afford it. I have yet to find an all around healthy alternative. Cats and dogs in the 60’s and 70’s lived longer with less disease, so what was the secret??? Some tell me chemicals to prevent against ticks and fleas are more harmful, other say we fed our pets people food, love to hear what everyone thinks. I don’t hear of that many record setting elderly pets in recent years. Something has changed.
