Perfect soft serve ice cream
I absolutely love this machine. It makes perfect soft serve ice cream, milkshakes and slushies. I haven't tried all the functions or recipes but the ones I've tried are great. I will say do NOT add the amount of salt they have listed on the ice cream recipe or you will have a very salty ice cream. We did that for the first one and it was gross, but only added a pinch the next time and it was amazing. It is very easy to use and all things considered does not take very long to make your treat. It also has a self cleaning functioning that makes cleaning it so easy and it's not too loud in my opinion. It was expensive but is a high quality product and also looks cute.

Easy to use, pretty pink color, & versatile!
I ordered the strawberry pink Frost Ice Cream Machine & Frozen Drink Maker and itโs the perfect pale, soft pink. This is great for making homemade frozen treats like dairy-free soft serve, custom ice cream, sorbet, milkshakes, smoothies, frozen cocktails, and more in as little as 15 minutes. There are 6 modes and 7 texture settings, so you can customize everything from light and fluffy to thick and creamy. Its 2-quart capacity is perfect for parties or families. The Simple Clean mode makes it easy to clean. I love that the Frost gives you total ingredient control, so you can create lower-sugar, high-protein, or dairy-free frozen desserts to your liking. This was definitely worth the purchase!

Works on keto with some tweaks
I really hesitated on buying this. I didn't know if I could justify the cost for something that just makes treats. Especially since I try to stay keto. I did some research and bought this along with some allulose syrup and guar gum. It's been fun playing around with the amounts of each addition, but I have gotten some really good soft serve and slushies. The first thing I made was some real margaritas with a margarita mix and it was restaurant quality (not keto ๐). Then I wanted some soft serve so I used one prepared keto chow shake, four teaspoons of allulose syrup and a teaspoon and a half of guar gum. The consistency for soft serve was perfect and it didn't taste too sweet. I've tried those ratios many times and it doesn't always work. You just have to keep tweaking it. I also tried sparkling ice bottled drinks with about two teaspoons of allulose syrup and got really good slushies. But again two teaspoons doesn't always work. Sometimes it's too frozen and sometimes it's not frozen enough. The nice thing with the allulos syrup is you can add it while it's churning. I'm glad I spent the money because I imagine I will be using this almost every day during the summer. I haven't had too much trouble with the cleanup. I use the clean function on the machine and then I usually take it apart and just give it a quick rinse and wipe down. No big deal. I do you have some concerns about how long this will last because everything is plastic except for the handle. So far it feels sturdy but plastic doesn't always have a long life span. All things considered I am very happy with this machine and I would highly recommend.

So fast, easy to clean and quiet
If youโre looking for a versatile frozen treat maker, the GreenPan Frost is a game-changer. This sleek, modern appliance isnโt just for making homemade ice cream โ it also creates smoothies, milkshakes, slushies, and even healthy frozen treats for your dog. The clean button was super easy but you can take the bowl off and rinse in the sink after super quick. The pink color is super cute and so different than whatโs out there. My soft serve came out perfect and I like that I can do both soft serve and harder ice cream. I also did a fruit sorbet and it was perfect! Up next is an espresso martini!

Homemade goodness.
Nice product. After a little tweeking on the adjustments it came out with a really nice soft serve ice cream. Wholesome and no additives. Milk and cream. I recommend reading about the adjustments and time really well. That will help with not getting icy, crystallized milk. You will have to make adustments/tweeking for things like room temp, ingredients temp and consistency, and preference. But once you get the hang of it its really nice. I like that you can use it for multiple things. Slushies, daiquiris, milkshakes, etc...

Easy and inexpensive to run.
I was feeling nostalgic last year from when I was on submarines. We always had soft serve ice cream available. I bought a ninja creami. And it worked ok. But a lot of effort making the ice cream ahead of time. Then running the machine to churn it. Finally putting the pint container on the plunger to serve. After the cone. You have to put the ice cream back in the freezer. Clean the machine A lot of work for a cone. This machine allows you to mix the ice cream and serve in 30 minutes. I had a learning curve of course. I ues frostline mix. 1 cup to 16oz water. On l6. I then can enjoy several cones (not that good for my waistline) an afternoon or evening. The clean up is easy. So far I am very pleased. The other machine is in the garage.

Not Recommended!
I'm on my second Frost, and after finding out some things, wouldn't recommend this purchase. 1) First Frost just didn't make hard ice cream. Tried various settings and eventually contacted support. I reported the ice cream melting almost the moment it hit the bowl. They asked how I made it (to assess sugar content). I would be contacted by the Frost team in 24-48 hours. A week later, I contacted them about the temperature of the ice cream with various settings and a day or so later got an email that a new Frost was on order for me. 2) Before the original Frost was replaced, found the bowl had cracks where it connects to unit. Did some searching and found that Greenpan will NOT sell replacement parts for the Frost. If you can get them to acknowledge you, they will do warranty repairs (hence my second Frost) but at least one online reported cracking their bowl, and Greenpan wouldn't sell a replacement. Since the problem was the users fault, no replacement, therefore a useless boat anchor is all that's left. The new Frost is pretty good, but as stated above, not recommended. Greenpan added a safety feature so the unit knows the bowl is attached, or it won't spin the mixing blades. Ice cream is soft serve and melts a bit when put in a bowl but doesn't become soup immediately. Does what it's supposed to, but not being able to get spare parts is a BIG warning sign IMO to getting a new unit.

Soft Serve at Home, Yum!
I have been searching for a countertop soft serve ice cream machine and was excited for this. Prior to this machine, I've had several classic ice cream makers, a condenser unit, and a Ninja Creami Soft Serve Machine. This machine looked promising as it has a condenser unit. It does what it claims, it's super easy to use, it makes ice cream and it much quieter than my condenser ice cream unit. Price-wise, it's about the same as the Ninja but is much quieter and again - that condenser is a game changer. And I LOVE being able to have soft serve at home. The things I don't like or that concern me: - The main compartment is double-walled plastic. This is an issue for a few reasons : if this puppy is dropped once, I'm pretty sure it's done-zo. Also, being double-walled, if any moisture is trapped you're going to have issues down the line with mold and/or bacteria. - While the recommended cleaning process is easy, I find it wasteful. I noticed a lot of ice cream still on the paddle, drum, and a long the walls after the extrusion process was completed. I decided to take the machine apart to scrape all the remaining ice cream into a bowl, hoping for a serving. I was able to half-fill a 16oz container. Them I cleaned the machine by hand. It was a bit messier than the recommended cleaning process but I'd rather do it this way and get the ice cream. It would be nice if there were a mechanism that ensured all the ice cream is completely extruded. All in all, it is a good little machine after one use. I intend to put it through its paces over the coming weeks, will update if anything else pops up. 21SEPT2025- uploaded video. To date I have made 4 rounds of ice cream, all delicious and creamy. The recipes in the book are pretty standard, but I used my own with excellent results. I a full recipe should yield 2 pints, plus a little extra. However, if you use the recommended cleaning method, you are will yield only 1 pint plus a little extra and effectively wash away and entire pint. Every batch I made had the same result. I highly recommend getting a large bowl and rubber spatula to scrape the remaining ice cream.
