Is this made in the USA?

Try Corel. They are made in the USA and have an all white set.

Do these chip easily, or are they pretty durable?

Very durable, I have 3 children age 6-9 and they aren’t gentle. These hold up well to use and the dishwasher. We have had 3 sets for 6 months and no chips yet.

Are there serving bowls or platters that match this set?

There are a number of options that match. Amazon search term: white basics collection

Are these dishes lead-free and cadmium-free?

The original respondent to this question is wrong. The only US law that currently exists regarding lead is in products specifically made for children. Check out the website for Lead Safe Mama for recommendations for dishes that have been XRF instrument tested for lead and cadmium.

Excellent Quality at an Amazing Price

I’m really impressed with the Amazon Basics Dinnerware Set. It offers great value for the price—high-quality, sturdy pieces that look elegant without the hefty price tag. The set includes everything you need for six people, and the white finish is timeless, making it perfect for any occasion. The dishes are durable and easy to clean, and I haven’t experienced any issues with chipping or discoloration. Honestly, there’s no need to spend on high-end, expensive dishware when you can get this well-made set from Amazon Basics. Totally worth it! Very satisfied with my purchase.

Won’t regret buying it

Good quality dinner set. Not really light weight but I prefer some weight in the plates. Durable and looks good. Have been using it for daily use and it has lived up to my expectations

Good value and beautiful design!

Replaced a 42 piece set for this smaller set of 18 pieces and am not disappointed. For the price, the quality is good and each individual piece has a decent weight in hand. We chose the swirl pattern and it’s beautiful. Very pleased.
