Highly Recommended Bathtub Door
Because this door is not the traditional type of sliding shower door, I hesitated for quite a while before I purchased it. There were a couple of things I was worried about when I bought it. My primary concern was the sturdiness of the door once it was mounted. Looking at the pictures made me question how solid it would be given the mounting method. However, once I had the door installed, those concerns quickly vanished. The door is rock solid and doesn't move at all when the door is opened or closed. My other concern was how hard it might be to install. However, I found installation to be very easy (even easier than a traditional sliding door). The direction are straight forward and clear. And all of the materials are labeled and easy to identify. It definitely takes two people at some key points of the installation. Overall the installation was very simple.I also worried about water making it out of the shower since the door didn't extend all of the way to the wall. That has not been an issue at all. Once installed and caulked, the door is sealed well and doesn't leak.I have had only one issue with the door. The plastic strip on the bottom of the door sometimes sticks and makes it hard to open the door. But I think it will become more pliable and easier to open over time. One other thing I didn't think about was that water will often run onto the floor when the door is opened after a shower. It is not a lot of water in our case, but I do have to at least throw the towel down to dry the floor after my shower.Overall, this was a great add for a great price! It makes my bathroom appear way more modern and has the appearance and functionality of a door costing hundreds more. I have received complements from everyone has seen it since I installed it just a month ago.

Forget Custom - Buy this one and save money
I installed the door 2 months ago professionally.Value and Design:the lack of a bottom rail/top rail traditional tub glass door systems makes the project look much more modern. the quality is top notch and looks custom, I was quoted 2x more for each piece of glass at several local boston glass shops. I am one of those idiots that spends hours looking to save a few bucks, take it from me and stop wasting your time - this is by far the best cost/benefit solution for a tub.Install:It came well packed but it is very heavy. You could likely do it solo if you take your time and feel extra strong. It was suggested that you place a stud behind the tile/cement board where the door will attach. The manual was amazingly detailed and all the parts were labeled right down to each pack of screws. If you don't know/don't find a stud behind the tile wall perpendicular to the tub top edge, forget using the screws/anchors that came with the package as they will be too flimsy and the door is heavy. find some stainless (or waterproof) screws and anchors that are more significant for this load.Final Thoughts:Also, Use clear caulk (white will make a mess even if you're an extra awesome caulk gun-slinger). Only wish I had purchased the chrome finish instead of trying to match all the other brushed nickle accessories in the bathroom, it would have been much easier to clean. also wish I had done frosted glass for the same reason. the hard water in my area shows every drop everytime you shower. invest in a squeegee.:)Seller was on top of things and got it here extra quick - they setup delivery to meet my needs and were very curteous.

great for price!!!
just remodeled two bathrooms - paid $2500 to have a pro come in and install a glass surround in the master - when I did the second bath I decided to try this - easy install!!! but, you need two people to place the glass panels -I was lucky when placing the first panel in that I caught a stud - if you don't you should buy some better wall anchors than they supply (I needed longer screws than they gave me to get into the stud)when installing the second panel (the one that swings) they are very clear in the instructions about not twisting or rotating the panel while attaching the hinges - the first panel sits flush with the tub - while the second panel sits about 3/4" above the tub to allow for the water sweep - to hold it steady I taped a piece of 1x4 to the tub and did some shimming to align the glass with the hinge - this simplified the attachment process and avoided the concern of twisting and breakage....in the end - great look - that helps the bathroom look bigger - looks more expensive than it is - very very happy with thistotal install time - about 2 hours

Great quality!
The shower/bath door takes your bathroom to a new level of style. It looks amazing. The door works great. Water is kept in and does not seep out. My contractor sealed it with silicon to ensure no leakage. My only suggestion is to clean it with glass cleaner. Nothing else works.

Custom look for Home Depot price
The Aqua Door provides a "custom look" at a Home Depot price. The glass is thick and the metal fittings are ample much like the quality you'd expect from a custom glass shower enclosure. In my bathroom, a five foot tub is in a six foot opening. There were only three solutions- a shower curtain, a custom door enclosure or the Aqua Tub Shower screen. The shower curtain was out- my wife finds them icky- even the curved ones. Also, I have never taken a shower with a curved curtain and kept the floor dry. This would be a huge mistake in my household. The shower door was our first option but since I had to cover a 6 foot opening, it meant that I had to pay $$$$ for a custom solution which would have blown our renovation budget. The Aqua Tub Door was our last choice. I was concerned about the splash out at the end of the tub. I am delighted to report that it works as well to contain water as much as a full screen. Most of the water splashes at the front walls. Careless use of a hand shower could cause problems so I opted for a showerhead only. The clear screen makes our tiny bathroom seem bigger.Highly recommended.
