Is this x55crmo14 steel like the swiss army knives? 316l steel is soft and cheap, neither it is high carbon or martensitic. what is the hrc rating?

Well, it is not that strong type of steel, but quite sharp. I am afraid if the sharpness would really last, because the smaller knife I have bought of Victorinox failed miserably in a couple of months use. To sum up, I would say it's not worth the money you pay for.
