Hi, you don't have to find the exact here to remove it. You just go in the general area and cover the area and the spring will find and remove it. You don't need a mirror or to locate exactly exactly where the tiny hair is.

No, but perhaps over time there will be fewer hairs because of scarring of the hair follicles.

How long does hair have to be for it to work?

No visible length required. I use this in front of a 15x mirror, and it pulls out hairs that I can't even see under 15x magnification. I can't see any hairs, and it's still ripping hairs out.
