My Favorite EDC Knife!
I absolutely love the Kershaw Outright. I have recently started collecting and sharpening knives, but so far this has been my favorite! I love the color, size, weight, feel, style/look, and action of this knife! The edge came very sharp right out of the box and after 2 weeks I haven't had to sharpen it yet. The only problem I was having with it was the pivot was coming loose every time I would play with it. I am the type of person who loves to fidget with my knives with one hand and this one is so easy and satisfying to do one handed that you just want to do it over and over again. But since I was doing that I kept having to retighten the pivot screw and that was getting annoying. I just added a small dot of Blue Loctite 242 to the threads and let it cure without opening it for a little less than 24 hours. It was such an easy fix and now I can play with it for hours without the pivot screw budging a millimeter. The materials used in this knife are really good quality! I have droppedit twice on concrete and you can barely see any marks on it and it still performs like new. I am very pleased with this knife and highly recommend it!

Just a beautiful bit of craftsmanship. Sharp as can be. Ideal weight and excellent value. Feels great in my hands.

Really good EDC size
I really like this knife as an EDC pocket knife. Good size to fit in your pocket and the blade is very easy to open. A little more difficult than my previous EDC knife (SOG) to close the blade, but that's not a big issue. Blade seems to hold an edge well. I use it for everything from opening boxes to cutting small electrical wires. No issues.

Decent knife.
Nice knife for the price but it looks a little unbalanced with a scale only on one side. I though it was a manufacturing defect at first.

My new favorite EDC knife!
This girl is a big fan of all sorts of knives and I absolutely love this knife! This is my current everyday carry (EDC) knife. I am a huge fan of Kershaw knives in general, due to their durability, ease of use, look and feel and high value for the money compared to other leading brands. This knife drew me in because of the color initially and it didn’t disappoint at all! It is beautiful with a smooth action and is super light weight. The blue is dark enough to not look “girly” at all, which I appreciate. I even carry it when wearing yoga pants. Easy to open/deploy one-handed using either the flipper or thumb studs, even with my smaller hands. It is very durable, but the blue will wear off on the edges a bit on the pocket clip after a lot of use. The blade comes pretty sharp and it is easy to sharpen as well.

Quality product and great color.
I bought this as a gift. It is of good quality and nice looking. The lady I bought it for loved the color and keeps it as protection.

I would take half a point off my score if I could.
I just received this knife. The action is very smooth and it is decently sharp. Not quite able to cut through paper just on the sharpness alone, but if you apply a little pressure it will make a pretty clean edge. Sharp enough I'm going to warn people it is sharp before I give it to them but not so much that I feel I can't get more of an edge on it with a decent whetstone. The reason I would take half a point off is I have two complaints. 1. The finish on the knife around the flip action trigger seems to have started coming off just from the pressure of my finger activating it, doesn't seem to be rubbing on other parts of the knife, I would have thought it was from the lock sliding across it but it is on the wrong side. So that doesn't give me a lot of confidence in the finish of the knife holding up to even just being in my pocket with my keys. 2. Because of the spring-assisted open feature it's actually dangerous to open the knife with the thumb studs, I don't think they should be on the knife. I haven't managed to cut myself yet but the couple of times that I did use the thumb stud it became obvious to me I didn't want anyone opening the knife that way. As you apply pressure to open the knife you reach a point where the spring assist triggers and pulls the thumb stud completely away from your thumb quickly enough that if you aren't ready for it to do it you will then slide your thumb into the blade continuing the same motion you were using to open the knife. So it's a very specific action to open it with the thumb stud where it completely opens but you also don't cut yourself or you have to press hard enough into the thumb stud to over power the spring assist but it's a decent amount of force so if it so happens you have something on your thumb that reduces your grip at all you'll cut yourself badly for sure. Overall still really happy with the knife. The design is great, the construction feels sturdy though time will tell. I don't plan on using this knife for heavy duty work I have an older pocket knife that has been getting abused for those jobs for a while I need a razor sharp pocket knife, I think this will do very nicely. My first impression it's great it's just not perfect.

Solider handlicher Schlitzer
