Sun Up, Sun Down (Voyager/Hbj Book)

Kiddos really enjoyed this book!

We purchased this book to go with my son's homeschool science lessons for Kindergarten. It did a good job explaining information about the sun on a pre-school/Kindergarten level, but was certainly not comprehensive. You could probably find a more truly "science" oriented book about the sun out there, but this one does have nice illustrations, and keeps things on the level that a Kindergartener understands well. Overall, it did what we needed it to do, explain things about the sun and sunlight.

Very good but I didn't think it was quite as good as some of Gibbons' other books. That being said....I still recommend it.

This is a good way to get students talking about what the sun is and how we need it. You will need to use others for the Colorado kindergarten science standard.

Geared for my age level

My 20 month old is obsessed with this book. I thought it was a bit too advanced for her but she loves the illustrations & asks for it daily.

My students loved this book! It's a great books for kids interested in the science of the sun!

Great for understanding the sun and shadows.
