Good price and delivery compared to our regular vendor
Better price and faster shipping than through our normal medical supply vendor. This is a very specific test strip for our office point-of-care machine and provides LDL, HDL, triglyceride, and total cholesterol values. Comes with a microchip "key" that allows use of the test strips prior to their expiration dates. There are various workarounds if the strips are expired but we generally use them all up prior to that date.

A little too late.
Received 2 boxes of 15 strips which work well. However I am 1 person and received 30 total strips with expiration dates of both boxes of 02/28/2014. That would mean I would need to use 30 strips within 6 months. Sales rep apologized and told me that I should have called to ask what the expiration date was and there would be a 20% restocking fee if sent back. They have a one liner that is in their add that states these have expiration dates and call for details. I will be contacting PTS (Polymer Technology Systems, Inc.) directly to see if they have a better solution. Will not purchase from this vendor again. Buyer beware.

$150 at quickmedical
I just ran out of my first supply batch and this product worked great. Time to resupply and I found much cheaper at quickmedical . com. No I am not an affiliate, just a price conscious shopper.

Make Sure You Buy Strips for the Correct Device
First I want to say I bought these test strips in error. These are for the Cardio Check PA device and I have just the basic device. What is the difference between the two devices? The PA device is about $600 and you can test all levels with on strip and one pin prick. The basic device is about a $100 and you have to buy the individual strips (cholestrol, triglycerides, HDL and glucose and poke yourself four individual times. Make sure you buy what is correct for your device because it is non refundable. With that being said when you buy the correct strips and follow the directions to the letter your test results should match what your labs would be at your Doctor's. If you obtain too much or not enough blood you will get false reading.

Good purchase
I've been purchasing Cardiocheck lipid strips since 2006, I like to follow up my own lipids. The small machine and strips really work very well and I save time to go to the Lab. My advice is buy machine and strips only if you are a very disciplined person.

test striip expiration dates
Get smarter than the machine. If you don't want to buy new strips just because they are expired, go into your machine and back date todays date to show BEFORE the expiration date of your strips. It fools the machine, and you can then use the expired strips until used up.
