My Honest Take on the JBL PartyBox 720 Look, I’ll be straight with you: if you’re looking for something to play quiet background music while you read a book, stop reading now. This isn't for that. The JBL PartyBox 720 is basically a portable nightclub that you can throw in your trunk (though you might need a gym membership to lift it). Here’s the good, the bad, and the "wow" after testing it out. 1. The Sound: It Hits Hard The first thing you notice is the power. The spec sheet says 800W and "JBL Pro Sound," but in human language, that means the bass literally kicks you in the chest. It has massive woofers (bigger than the previous model, the 710), and you can tell. I threw some heavy EDM and Hip Hop at it, and it didn’t distort even when I got excited and cranked the volume near max. The highs are crisp, too—they don’t get drowned out by the bass, so vocals stay clear. 2. The Game Changer: It Finally Has a Battery! If you knew the old model (the 710), you know its biggest flaw was that it always had to be plugged into a wall. The 720 finally cuts the cord. They promise 15 hours. In my experience, at "real party" volume (loud and with the light show on full blast), I got a solid 10-12 hours, which is enough to finish the party or until the neighbors call the cops. Plus, the battery is swappable; if you're hardcore, you can buy a spare and swap it out in seconds. 3. The Lights: Not a Gimmick These aren't those cheap little LEDs you see on budget speakers. The light show is actually hypnotic. It has trails, a "starry night" effect, and strobes that genuinely sync with the beat. At night, you literally don’t need extra lighting in your backyard or living room. It gives off a very cool "futuristic" vibe that people just stare at. 4. Portability: The Reality Check Okay, they say it’s portable because it has wheels and a handle. And yes, the wheels are sturdy and roll smooth, but let’s not kid ourselves: this thing is a beast. This isn't the speaker you carry for a mile-long walk to the beach. It’s meant to go from your trunk, to the pavement, to the party spot. Once it’s there, it rules, but moving it is a workout. 5. Can it handle a mess? Yes. It’s splashproof (IPX4). This means if someone spills a drink on it or if it starts drizzling outside, it’s fine. But be careful: it’s not waterproof. Do not throw it in the pool. The Human Verdict The JBL PartyBox 720 is expensive, big, and heavy. But if you are the type of person who loves being the life of the party, or if you host events where you don't always have a power outlet nearby, it is worth every penny. The Best: The bass is monstrous. Total freedom with no cables! (The battery is the upgrade we needed). The lights set the mood all by themselves. The Worst: Your back will hate you if you have to carry it up stairs (use the wheels!). It’s a serious investment, not a cheap toy.

Don’t walk. Run. I’ve had the 320, the 520 and now the 720. All great speakers. Loud, clear and crisp. Connections are easy and they are all sleek. Battery lasts as expected if you’re out and turn the bass off and the lights and at a certain volume (Varies per speaker). The 320 is good for small gatherings. The 520 perfect for larger out door areas. The 720 she’s amazing if you like it loud and heavy! 🤤 With 2 different bass modes, she hits! Plug her in for more juice too once you're around an outlet. One thing, shes bigger than the 520 and heavier- so keep that in mind if you want to be transporting it. However, this isn’t stopping me from taking my 720 out to play. The price is pretty lol but so is the sound, lights and quality of this speaker. Try get it on a sale if you can. I don’t regret this buy at all. ❤️

The JBL PartyBox 720 is hands down one of the best portable speakers I’ve owned. The JBL 720 is hands down the best Bluetooth speaker I’ve ever experienced! Its incredible volume is so powerful that I swear my pictures were about to leap off the walls. The bass is nothing short of extraordinary—truly the life of any party! I wholeheartedly recommend this speaker to anyone in search of that perfect party vibe. With the JBL 720, you’re getting an unbeatable sound experience that I simply can’t part with. Everything about it—the brilliant colors, the ideal size—just rocks the house! Sure, it’s on the heavier side, but honestly, something this flawless deserves to have a little weight to it. You won’t regret adding this gem to your setup!

I love this speaker so much! We use it with JBL mics for a karaoke and the sound is amazing! We all had so much fun! You feel like you’re in a club! Love to see the look on friends’ faces when they see and listen to it for the first time. This thing is also huge. And can be a challenge transporting due to its weight, but also the caution to not damage it. But it is worth all the trouble. I keep it mainly in our downstairs gym. I can work out harder and for longer now. And it flies by because I’m having so much fun. Makes me wish I lived in the country with no neighbors so I can use it the way it was meant to be used. Buy it buy it buy it. Whether it’s on sale or full price. Worth every single dollar. Thank you, JBL. This box has brought so much joy to my life and others!

If you're like me and want the loudest speaker that also has the ability to be run without being plugged in, THIS is the speaker for you. It is terrifyingly loud at 50%+ volume. Clarity is solid, bass is wild, no distortion even at full volume - which, by the way, will damage your hearing and peel paint off your walls. Other notable features, it's got cool lighting that responds to the music, the batteries are swappable, you can use wireless mics for karaoke, it has wheels to move around fairly easily. But, this thing is a beast, it is a party speaker in every sense of the term. Weighing almost 70 pounds, it's not what you'd call "portable" but the wheels are robust and help with moving around the house or wherever you have this monster setup. If your brain is telling you this is too much speaker for your home for regular use, your brain is correct. BUT, don't let that stop you. This speaker is ridiculous in all the greatest ways. Just buy it and have fun.

So loud and clear sounding. It’s pretty heavy but rolls so easy for as big as it is. Hopefully it will last but seems to work flawlessly so far . Great for big outdoor parties

I have been watching JBL bluetooth speakers review videos on YouTube for several months now. I first bought the JBL Boombox 3 and thought the sound was amazing with the built-in racetrack woofer. And then I soon stumbled onto the PartyBox lineup. I was trying to decide between the 520 and 720. The 520 has dual 7.5" woofers, while the 720 has dual 9" woofers (i.e. same size as on the PartyBox Ultimate). Both the 520 and 720 were on sale at the time. I opted for the 720 because of the larger 9" woofers. The larger the woofer size, the lower the frequency it can handle. Also the dollar/watt factor was better too. On review videos, both the 520 and 720 sounds amazing. While the sound of the Boombox 3 is amazing from a ghetto blaster style portable speaker with a woofer system, the sound from the PartyBox 720 is next level immersive. The highs are crisp, the lows are rumbling. The only better speaker in the PartyBox lineup would be the PartyBox Ultimate with the exclusive additional midrange drivers, but that was way out of my price range. The 720 was already more than what I originally wanted to pay for, but the sale price was captivating. Every time I turn it on, I am so glad I bought it. I didn't want to upgrade this speaker in the future. It is more speaker than most people will ever need it for. But every time I listen to it, it puts a big grin on my face. Listening to music with any normal speakers and then listening to the same songs thru this speaker. You will realize additional bass sounds that you thought did not previously exist in those songs. Listening to different genres of music thru these speakers that covers the entire dynamic range, the experience of listening to music is completely changed. I don't listen to it loudly because I don't want to upset my neighbours. I just typically listen with the bass setting off. But you can still hear and feel the bass from those large dual 9" woofers. It is like an expensive car audio system but without the car. Oh and the fancy lighting system that beats to the music is kinda cool too.

Compré por error el modelo 710 porque quería una bocina potente y de gran calidad de sonido. Pocos minutos después vi que el modelo 720 era lo mismo, pero con batería y mejor soporte de aplicaciones; entonces me decidí por el modelo 720. La razón de tener una bocina como esta es que seguido hay eventos familiares y se necesita un sonido para 100 personas aproximadamente, el cual no tenga complicaciones, pero sí tenga buen audio; tengo varios productos de JBL y, en general, es un sonido con bajos potentes, pero limpios. En este caso es exactamente eso. Además, se cuenta con la versatilidad de poder conectar micrófonos XLR o en conector de 1/4". El sonido sí da para un evento mediano o grande; como para una terraza de eventos o quizás un concierto pequeño. Le subí el volumen al 75% y no hubo distorsión. Probé el sonido con Metal, Electronica, Musica Clasica y Boleros; y suena limpio y potente como la mayoría de los productos JBL lo hacen. Me parece bastante conveniente que tenga baterías, porque así puedes fácilmente tener sonido para una fiesta de 8 horas. El día que llegó, el equipo estuvo esperando en la puerta de la casa bajo la lluvia y salió seco de la caja y funcionando a la primera. Me parece un gran detalle que la caja tenga indicaciones de cómo desempacar. Aunque la bocina es totalmente de plástico, se siente muy sólida. Francamente, la única parte de la bocina que se va a dañar con facilidad es la malla de metal frente a los domos. Todos los botones y manijas se sienten sólidos y tienen buena retroalimentacion tactil. Cuando subes o bajas de volumen, las luces LED te mostrarán en qué nivel andas. La aplicación de JBL te deja configurar todo de la bocina, emparejar otras bocinas y actualizar firmware; cuando te vinculas por primera vez, te guía para bajar la app de JBL. A pesar de que en todos lados dicen el tamaño exacto, es más grande de lo que aparenta. No me cupo en la cajuela del carro. Le hacen falta agarraderas para poder cargarlo fácil; me hubiera gustado que incluyera una funda porque esta bocina va a estar guardada casi todo el tiempo.

Es una bocina de primer mundo está increíble la mejor de audio bajos potentes y la ecualización en cualquier tipo de género de música sobre todo la batería para cualquier evento donde sea incluso en la playa donde no ay luz 👍 10 de 10

Muy potente la bocina y ni se diga los bajos de alta definición. Volvería a comprar sin nada que pensar. Me llego antes de la fecha excelente entrega.
