Not comfortable
This is so hard and lumpy, and won't stay put on the futon frame, so we have just left the futon flat so the mattress won't slide off. It would be a hassle to return since it's so heavy and bulky, so I guess we just live with it. I'll have to get a mattress topper so that we don't get poked in the ribs every time we try to relax on it.

Don’t buy
Since I have to leave a star to add my comment I did. Wish I could do zero. Cannot recommend this futon mattress. Did do as they said to let it inflate. Mine was hard and bumpy and no amount of punching it got it to be smooth. Along the first week I noticed a funky smell. It smells like mildew. Make me gag. My pillows are smelling like it too. They want you to return the product! How in the world can one put it back in its box.? Box went in the trash sometime after opening when I had hopes of this being a good product. Please think twice before purchasing this product. I have since purchased another mattress from a different seller. I am much happier with it. It deflated quickly and fits perfectly on my futon!

do not buy this!!! it is the mattress only and it is impossible to fit onto a frame. it does not bend. i cannot even return it bc it is impossible to get back into a box. so now i am just stuck with it
