Received one bar of this Caswell-Massey Sandalwood soap as a stocking-stuffer some years ago. I really connected with the great scent and have used it as my daily shower soap ever since. Good lather and no oily residue. It seemed a little pricey for soap, but the bar lasts a long time and it is well worth the price.

Super pleased with this product, it smells great but not too strong, just clean and fresh with a scent that is more professional than sporty. I find that it Lathers up great in a wet washcloth with just a couple turns. When wet the bar feels solid/dense and slippery. I purchased the three-pack set, arrived in classy packaging that one would expect to be found in a high-end men's store. it appears 3 bars is going to last me a while; however, I will be reordering when needed.

First, the aroma: This soap doesn't smell like perfume or cologne. It smells like a freshly cut woodpile! It is fantastic and it stays with you long after the shower. Second, the lather: It lathers quickly and creates a mess of it. Silky smooth, it does not dry up the skin but leaves behind some of the natural oils of the skin and that includes the hair as well. This stuff cleans and leaves the hair silky because it is not stripping the hair of its natural oils. This has to be the best body soap I've ever used. I've tried the other manly fragranced soaps but this one is the bomb!

Caswell-Massey bar soap lives up to its reputation. Their packaging is exceptional; you won't want to throw away the boxes. As for the soap itself, each bar weighs 5.8 oz. (Dr. Bronner's is 5 oz.) and are milled like little sculptures. I personally would like more scent in each bar because their scents are SO alluring. If you're ever thinking of gifting someone with soap, this is the soap to gift them with, IMO. (In the attached photo, the bar of 1752 has been used many, many times; it's milled to last a VERY long time.) ***Update after a few weeks of use - unfortunately, this bar of 1752 scent is rather drying to my hands. Much more so than most soaps.

These smell amazing. Masculine and great. The bar is larger than a bar of dial. For the sale price, it is great but I would not pay full price. Cleans with a light moisturizer. I rated it a 4 b/c while it smelled great it did not really leave me smelling like the bar. I though it would be like soap + cologne. Not as strong as I had expected. At the right price, I will stay with it.

I was hesitant about buying it, but I was impressed. All three smell great; I tried the almond one, and it lives up to the hype—which justifies the price—so hopefully they last a long time. I’ll definitely keep buying them; it was exactly what I was looking for.

Although this soap company has been around since the 1700's, I first heard about it on the YT channels Early American and Frontier Patriot so I ordered a bar for my face washing twice a day. The scent is very strong of roses but I like that. Who doesn't like being in a rose garden? It left my face soft and clean feeling. Good lather and promoted as long-lasting. I'm happy with it and recommend it highly.

Omg my husband buys this for himself; and he smells so good! He stays fresh for ever. This is luxury soap. I sent my father these for Father’s Day and he never really brags about gifts he gets from his kids, he doesn’t want to make people feel bad… but this year he raved about this soap. He said people stopped him in church and thought it was a new cologne. My husband also bought me the woman’s version and couldn’t choose which one to use first! They smell so good. It my favorite splurge! Skin feel soft cleans off makeup, the ingredients are phenomenal, and if they made these soaps in laundry detergent I’d use it!

Disappointed as I've tried almost every soap on Amazon and thought this $22.00 bar of soap was it from all the 5 star reviews... 1. Zero Scent 2. No lather at all 3. Odd round shape makes you "drop the soap" constantly:/ *Would not buy again even if price went down to $1.00/bar

Feel could only be described as silky and sumptuous. Perfect verbena scent, not too sweet. Cassey Masswell could only be described as masters of their craft.
