Honestly this stuff is so much better than the pre-made stuff. It's really grainy to start, I typically get the water *hot*, following the directions on the back, don't dump all the water in right away. Put in about half of what it's asking for, use a fork or a whisk (the water is hot, remember?) And get it all mixed up. Then let it set for 3-5 mins. Come back by this point it should be cool enough that you can put your hand in it. It's gonna feel slimy. That's good, squeeze it through your fingers and remove any lumps, add the remaining water but, if you don't have a microwave, make sure it's just above a temperature that you can handle having your hands in it. Mix it the rest of the way, and take it to your space. I find it best to use a Tupperware or Pyrex container with a lid to keep the heat in if you don't have a warmer. They are relatively inexpensive. A wax warmer would work too. If you have a microwave, pop the lid off and microwave it for 10-20 seconds. Just enough to bring the temperature back up, or add more hot water. But adding more water will also think it down, and you want it to be slippery. Go have fun. (You can also find waterproof fitted sheets which work wonders if you don't want to buy an inflatable)
