We love it so far! It feels sturdy once it’s finished. The wood does feel a bit thin so we will see how it fares. It also has a bit of a smell at first but it went away once aired out. Overall my babies and I love it.

So this might be a unique purpose for this catio. Long story short, I fostered this tuxedo cat who needed emergency surgery for a bladder problem. He was unable to urinate and almost died. He was thriving at my house for months until suddenly my other cat started guarding the litter boxes and would attack him if he tried. So then the tuxedo cat was going potty on the floor anywhere he could. So I got this catio, built it without the lower shelves and without the lounging bowl (I might modify that later,) and I put a litter box and food in here. I am also custom installing a microchip entrance door once he’s used to being in here. Then only he will have access to to catio and he will have a safe place to go to eat and potty whenever he wants to. Overall it’s sturdy while being lightweight. I built it downstairs and dragged it upstairs when it was done. The smell was weird but not terrible and is fading. The instructions were fairly easy but not super easy. Installation took me about 3 or more hours.

It was quite obvious someone had tried to put it together, quit and re-wrapped the packaging (can tell by screw holes). While all parts were included, the instructions were terrible. Luckily, I have a knack for figuring out diagrams and directions which helped the process go quicker but it took 5 hours to build. Holes didn't match up properly, and yes we tried every which way to make sure we were reading the directions correctly and assembling accordingly, so a drill was needed to drill new holes - especially with the roof section. I wouldn't call it a "Large Catio" but we are still looking forward to letting our cats try it out one at a time (they are leash trained but indoor cats otherwise). Fingers crossed. My husband isn't a carpenter by profession but is handy with tools. Good luck!

It is so nice now my cat can spend time on the deck with me and the dogs. Took me a while to put together by myself but I did it! Would definitely recommend this! I’ll take a picture of this

This is the worse quality product I have ever purchased. I honestly was embarrassed I even spent money on it when I was putting it together. All the pieces were dirty and damaged (wood dented or chipping). The only reason I kept it is because 1) I think if I tried to take it apart it would be beyond damaged 2) it does get the job done, but this is not at all worth almost $200 (with shipping)

I got this installed in about three hours totally by myself. I added a few extra screws at the end for added stability and I I raised one shelf at the bottom up approx 6” so it was easier for the cats to jump down to the bottom from the window. I got some multipurpose sand and raised the area about 3 inches and put 4 x 16 bricks (x16) to set the area even and keep from animals digging in or out. I’m very glad I did because some strays have came up and they cannot get in. Me and my son can get in/out fairly easy, got to duck just a bit. I’m really glad it has the large door too. I dont care for the small doors everywhere and I screwed them all shut. I live in Oklahoma and we’ve had some high winds, tornadoes, and hail but there is no damage. Very pleased.

Pro: good door clasps Cons: Too small for large full grown cat. No place what so ever for a cat box. There is no large access to the bottom floor so 2 add a small container for a cat box u have to NOT install the plastic half bubble. No place for cat dishes for food and water. All shelves are super small. ** When I unboxed this catio the smell gave me an intense headache. Whatever this wood is painted with must be highly toxic. I left the pieces outside for one week b4 assembly. The catio still stinks amd gives me a headache. I had no choice 2 use it as I did not schedule shots for boarding my cat but I am very worried for his health while using this. It needs 2 stay outside until the smell goes away if it ever does. I am very disappointed in this catio because it's layout is not conducive use and because of the toxic fumes.
