Madison Reed Radiant Hair Color Kit, 8.5NNA Dark Neutral Blonde, 1 Pack

I have been coloring my hair for 30 years. I used to use Clairol Nice and Easy but my husband constantly complained about the smell. It was pretty bad. I also didn't like the color for the first week after I used it. It would take a couple of washings for it to settle into my hair. I saw an ad for Madison Reed and decided to try it. No smell, no harsh ingredients and gluten free! The color is beautiful the first day. I feel like it is better quality for my hair and worth spending a little bit more. Still cheaper than going to a salon! Cons: It is more money than Nice and Easy. I also don't like that I have to leave it on for 45 minutes. I have some grey and it really struggles to cover the greys. I used to use a shade lighter, but Madison Reed recommended I go a shade darker to cover the greys better. It worked and I do like the color.

My favorite brand. It’s pricier than what I normally buy but it’s well worth it. Stays a lot longer than other brands, that’s for sure. Have never had discoloration from using a different brand and then using this one, colors my gray better than anything else I’ve found and my hair feels great afterwards. Highly recommend!

This is the worst hair dye ever! Besides being way over priced, it didn't cover, my gray hair AT ALL, even though I was very thorough, and applied it several times, (especially at my hairline around my face), it's still gray/white. Ugly color, no one would want this weird shade.😒 It also damaged my hair, Swartzkoff and L'Oreal always leave my hair silky for a couple of months. I can barley run my fingers through my hair now, a LOT of it fell out when I rinsed it out, and it feels really bunchy now. I'll probably have to cut it off and start all over now. What a Bummer! Plus, it barley covered my shoulder length hair, it contains a stingy amount. Don't believe the hype, Beware!

Good product. Impressed with the items in the box. Color was good however the color could have done a better job covering the gray. I have tried it multiple times to ensure I was evenly applying the color. Could be better.

Very pleasantly surprising! I applied it to the roots first, and then the rest of my blonde hair for 30 minutes. It covered all of my grays. My hair is soft and it’s the perfect tone of neutral blonde. I just pray that it lasts. I will purchase this again. This did not make my roots orange like so many box colors do. My roots were about a level seven dark blonde with lots of gray and about 2 inches long. 1 week later the lengths of my hair have faded considerably despite using their shampoo and conditioner twice. I’m going to have to tone it to keep it the deeper blonde it was. On a positive note, the roots and greys still look great. 2026 , update: this stuff fades very fast!

Although it is odorless and comes in a really nice package, it’s the same product that you get in the drugstore. It doesn’t cover all gray and it lasts about two weeks. That’s it don’t waste your money.!

This is a nice kit, comes with everything you need, but for 30 bucks the color is def no better than cheaper drug store dyes. I started with natural dirty blonde hair that had light blonde highlights. I wanted to even it out so went for natural dark blonde. This color came out as a reddish tone and didn't even color over the highlights. Also this isn't the easiest to apply. It should come with a comb attachment for the bottle for those doing all over color. I have shoulder length hair and it was hard to get the color through it all evenly. Also it smells oddly like smoke. I don't really recommend this. Not good enough to justify the price. You're better off with L'Oreal or one of the other similar brands.

Love it! Mess free to mix and no strong smells. This color is my favorite!!! Applying every 4 weeks to keep up with growth and gray hairs.
