Review: A good full sized Electronic lighter - These electronic lighters are full sized (3 1/8 inches long by 1 inch wide by 1/2 inch deep). This type of lighter is no longer carried in the stores near me, so ordering online was my only option. The push button operation is much easier on my hands that the roller types. I just wish that the flame was adjustable on these lighters. Update: I get aproximately 900 (+/- 10%) lights per lighter

Yes!!! Buy them =D
You do have to hold them upright when clicking to light them or the may just click. I cant tell u guys what a difference these lighters have made. the roller ones hurt my thumbs and actually scar them. these are easy to use, last a long time and again.. hold them up right when u click to light them and they work wonderfully well! Thanx Bic!

I'll go back to classic bic or another electronic lighter
These don't last long at all. Maybe 1/3 as long as a classic bic. The button to light it is nice on my hand but they're too expensive for me to be out of them already.

Electronic lighters aren't always fun
I wanted to stop abusing my thumb on the flint wheel and decided to go electronic. Electronic lighters need technique. A strong and quick thumb gets the light, but holding the button down requires stamina and even more strength lol. They're not fun to use in a breeze and If you're someone with shaky hands, this won't work out. Electronic lighters don't last as long as the regulars, but have cool designs. The truth is, my thumbs are now stronger and have healed lol, but I'll probably go back to the wheel.

Neanderthal thumb required--burn caution
BIC electric lighters work well for anybody that has a sloped brow and the hand and thumb strength of a 30,000 year-old proto-human. I ruined two of the eight-pack by taking them apart to see if the button could be made easier to depress. No fix was detectable, and no return and refund. Not recommended unless your hands are the large early-evolved type, somewhat similar to those of a mountain gorilla. Fortunately, regular flint-ignition BICs are easy to be made easy. Using a small straight screwdriver with a blade tip about 1/8 inch wide, work it a short way between the spark wheel and the child-proof curved chrome spring, then pry the spring up and off. The result is a joyful BIC. The electric Bic requires the thumb to be much closer to the flame than the flint Bic. Photo #1 shows how much higher the electric black thumb button is compared to the red flint thumb button. Photo #2 shows the flint Bic's thumb proximity to the flame. Photo #3 shows the electric Bic's much closer thumb proximity to the flame. I used one electric for quite a while. Got tired of how tedious it was to use to avoid getting burned, got burned once too often and threw the remaining six of the 8-pack away. Review photos can be viewed much larger. Easy on the thumb.
My wife makes macramé and uses a liter to fuse the ends of the cords. Regular lighters have a rough wheel that you turn with your thumb; this gets very hard on the thumb as she uses the lighter a lot. This lighter has a tab that you just press down. Best thing for people who have to use them often. Thumbs up literally!
