Briggs and Stratton Genuine 808656 Mechanical Fuel Pump by Briggs & Stratton

Perfect fit for our Husqvarna riding mower. Was so glad it was exactly like the one that originally came with the mower back in 2013. (Made in Japan) My husband put it on and the mower started right up and runs beautifully. The USPS was terrible in their delivery as it sat in Wisconsin for 3 days and then in Shreveport, LA, for 3 days before finally arriving at our home. It wasn’t the seller’s fault it arrived late. Seller gave us a great price and would buy from them again.

It works perfectly. I have a lawnmower with a 17 hp briggs and stratton engine. It was running rough until I replaced the fuel pump. It runs fine now. I am happy.

Replace old fuel pump with this new unit. Very easy replacement. I had gas and excessive pressure in the crank case. Had been running ethanol fuel. When engine had last been used the fuel line had not been shut off. Assumed a hole had formed in fuel pump diaphragm allowing gas to leak into oil reservoir. So start easy with fuel pump replacement. Engine would not start so removed carb and cleaned and engine now runs as it should with non ethanol fuel. The pump works as it should and I would recommend this unit.

Works better than the less expensive brand. Tried to save money with off brand, and it would not supply enough gas for my Vanguard twin. Idle was very slow, throttle response was lagging, and engine bogged down under load. Replaced with this OEM and everything returned to normal. Sometimes, OEM makes a huge difference.

Works fine, I had to drill a couple of holes and cut some sheet metal on my lawnmower to make it fit. Hopefully it’s good for another 30 years like my original pump.

This is the 2nd time I have purchased this fuel pump. The original fuel pump on my Craftsman 22 hp lawn tractor lasted approximately 9 years. I purchased this one when the original failed. Somewhat to my surprise it only lasted just over 2 years. As an interim measure I purchased a cheaper one because it could be delivered quickly and then, reordered this one as a backup. The cheaper one I ordered and installed is still working well so this one will sit on my shelf in the garage until it's needed. I was somewhat surprised that the 1st replacement pump failed as quickly as it did since it was supposed to be an original replacement product. It is possible that the ethanol additive in the gas is shortening the pump's lifetime.
