PEET, Power Cell Shoe and Boot Dryer, Portable & Lightweight Shoe Dryer, Silent & Energy Efficient

We've been using this shoe dryer every day for a little over a month now. Two of my sons have jobs where they work outside in all kinds of weather and their work boots and shoes, even though waterproof, always need to be dried out for work the next day. This little shoe dryer does an excellent job! When my sons get home they pop these into their boots/shoes, plug the dryer in and forget about it until morning. Nice dry warm boots/shoes ready for another day! Not only are they dry but nice and warm which is a sweet bonus when it's below zero outside. The heat produced is very gentle and even. The dryers are not hot to the touch. Best results when placed all the way into the toe of the boot/shoe. As other reviews have noted this dryer does NOT have a fan and it also does NOT get super heated - therefore this product is not going to blast dry wet boots or shoes in a couple of hours. However, for overnight (or several hours) drying they work great. Also, since it's warmth only and no fan the product is completely silent. This dryer is also excellent for drying out gym shoes that are gross damp from sweaty gym socks after a work out. That drying time is pretty quick and the gym shoes are ready to wear again - and less smelly! Bonus. For very damp boots/shoes this dryer definitely needs overnight drying time, and given that time works great! For shoes that are only slightly damp a couple of hours or so should be fine. Great price, too! Highly recommended.

Works really well. Don't know how long it actually takes, but put them in my boots after being in them for 13 hours, and when I put them on the next morning they are bone dry.

These dryers do not have forced air of any kind but still will dry your footwear with a light heat within several hours. I carry mail for the USPS so my shoes often get quite sweaty. Ill come home around 5PM and throw these in my boots and by morning they'll be dry. they have no power switch but use such a small amount of power I never worry about running up the electrical bill. Buy a cheap smartplug or switch plug to turn them on or off without constant plugging and unplugging. There is a small red LED to show they're on which is convenient. I recommend using these in a temperature controlled and low humid environment for best results. In other words, use them indoors. Keeping them out in an uncovered, humid and or unheated porch or basement may increase drying time. If you work or partake in activities where your footwear will get soaked or just very wet you should look into other options. They're great for travel and are 100% silent.

I was looking for a peet drier for traveling, and this is a great alternative. I have used it in Iceland, Spain, Puerto Rico, and Portugal. It is a great product that is always delivered and works without problems. It is also very easy to fit in your luggage inside your shoes. If you are in Europe, use your converter and presto. I highly recommend this product.

These are awesome for hunters or anyone out in the wet and cold

I wanted a more compact dryer than the common two-tube things and it didn't seem efficient to have an upside-down boot where warm, rising water vapor would hit the rubber sole instead of the leather upper With the PEET MO8 the very end of my boot toes were a still a little cool and damp in the morning; I think maybe tipping the boots toes upwards will get convection flow to that area but the units slide backward then and I'll have to prop them inside. The boots are gore-tex/thinsulate/leather so water vapor passes through the boot. The units felt quite warm when I removed them except for the tips. Kill-A-Watt meter says 8.8 watts current flow after warm-up. Cord is about 6' before splitter with L.E.D. power indicator and then 18" to units. Sopping wet hikers took over 3 days to dry and now smell moldy. Finally thought to put them on my heating pad as well and sped things up.

This was the answer to our prayers! We cannot say enough good things about the PEET MO8 POWER CELL SHOE DRYER! We were both extremely disappointed with the shoe/boot/sneaker dryer I purchased for him at Xmas...it worked for two days and then died. It was NOT made by Peet and was not this style of dryer. It's the white, plastic one where you put your shoes upside down on the top of the two posts and then turn the fan on to gently blow them dry. It had a compartment for the baking soda in the top to deodorize them. What a waste of money! Your dryer, however, works like a charm and we are delighted and satisfied with the results. He uses it on his Merrill sneakers and Merrill boots - both of which are expensive! We never worry if we leave it on over night as it never gets so hot that it would shrink or damage the material in any way! Cannot thank you enough for this wonderfully designed and high quality shoe dryer! HAPPY NEW YEAR YA'LL! JULY 2013: This boot/sneaker dryer is still working today as it did the day we got it! He uses it 5 days a week for his work boots and sometimes for his sneakers on the weekends too! This product is worth it's weight in gold!

These are compact and portable! That’s what I was looking for. This is my 3rd unit. The towers seem to generate warmer than these inserts but that doesn’t affect its efficacy - work just as good as the tower. If you’re looking for toasty toes, use the tower. Great for travel! Also great for gifting
