A must to learn Italian Review: Excellent combination for a complete review - I was already familiar with Collin's Italian Grammar and even as it was good for a beginner,as a grammar book I would have liked it to be so comprehensive as to be useful after the initial years. But this book in its combination of grammar, verbs and vocabulary is everything you'll need to kickstart your Italian. Yes, the grammar is basic. But the verb tables and the extra verb index is very helpful. The vocabulary has masculine and feminine nouns in separate pages which makes it easier to learn; in addition it has 40 pages of supplementary vocabulary arranged according to parts of speech (great to augment your reading vocabulary). The grammar points are very succinctly explained. So if you're just starting with your Italian, get this book. Pair it with a coursebook or classroom, and it's of great help.
