Solid 7x Telephoto and 10x Macro Lens for iPhone. Best with 17mm Case.
If you're getting this lens, skip the included clip. It’s too heavy and won’t stay put unless you tighten it hard. That puts pressure on the screen and camera glass. I wasn’t comfortable with that. I got a case with a 17mm adapter right after. I went with a Neewer and a SmallRig case, but the latter needs a 17mm adapter. I’ve seen other reviews saying this lens doesn’t work with newer phones or can’t focus because it keeps switching lenses. Just turn off macro mode when it does switch. The biggest problem is the freaking clip. It keeps sliding. Make sure you're using the main lens and not changing focal length at first until you got the clip right in center of the lens. Then you can experiment with different focal lengths. The lens looks basic in the photos, but don’t be fooled. It’s solid. All metal with glass inside. Feels premium. You get both a 7x telephoto and a 10x macro lens. Use them with the main camera on the iPhone 16 Pro Max (bottom camera) for the best quality. Neewer recommends shooting at 1.1x zoom, but I had no problem at 1x. Great option if you want to try real photography before jumping to mirrorless or DSLR. Perfect for trips to the zoo. No heavy gear. Just your phone in one pocket and the lens in the other. Also bring a tripod if you are achieving blurry photos even with abundance sunlight. The image quality is good for mobile photography, but you can tell the difference right away when compared to a 70-200mm lens on a full-frame camera. That’s expected. The bokeh isn’t as soft or rounded, and the sharpness is toned down. There might be even places you don't want blur, but get blurred anyway. Depending on your taste, that might actually work for you. I don’t expect much from a phone camera no matter what lens I put on, but I’m pretty impressed that I can get such quality zoomed-in shots at a fraction of the price. To the untrained eyes, your images will look amazing. Since you’re getting extreme bokeh and compression thanks to the telephoto properties, your shots will stand out. Pros * All metal construction. * Comes with 7x telephoto and 10x macro. * Includes cloth and padded case. A very nice padded case. * Feels solid and well built. Improvements * It’s heavy. * No thread for filters or lens caps (it comes with silicone caps). * No tripod mount. * The clip is not great and can shift and might damage the phone screen or camera lens. This is a great mobile lens once you ditch the clip and use a 17mm case. It’s sharp, compact, and worth it if you want to level up your mobile photography.

This lens kit elevates my smartphone photography.
7X Zoom Telephoto Lens: Comprises 15 elements in 12 groups for crisp, vivid images with low distortion. Delivers 7x zoom without the resolution degradation of digital zoom. Focus ring enables precise adjustments for sharp subject clarity. Produces a naturally blurred background, isolating subjects for a polished look. Perfect for capturing wildlife, sports, and landscapes, focusing clearly from 16ft/5m. Things to consider: Dark edges may appear on some devices if the lens is misaligned or zoom is below 1.1x. High magnification may blur handheld shots, suggesting tripod use. Adds bulk to the phone and requires careful attachment, potentially slowing down quick shots. Detachable 10X Macro Lens: Captures fine details of small subjects like insects and plants for stunning close-ups. Works best at 4"-8"/10-20 cm, offering versatility for macro photography. Expands mobile photography options for influencers and content creators. With 3 elements in 3 groups, it’s easy to attach to the telephoto lens. Things to consider: Narrow 4"-8"/10-20cm focus range demands skill to master. and will require practice. Must be mounted on the telephoto lens, complicating setup. Sharpness improves with a tripod, reducing mobility for spontaneous shots. Universal Phone Lens Clip: Compatible with most smartphones, including iPhone 16 Pro Max and Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra. Attaches to NEEWER cages, cases, or backplates with 17mm threads. Ensures secure lens mounting for consistent image quality. Things to consider: Misalignment may cause vignetting, requiring careful setup. Some phone cases may hinder clip attachment, needing removal, adjustment, or specific accessories. Overall Kit Benefits: Optical zoom and macro avoid digital zoom’s pixelation. Upgrades smartphone cameras without requiring a separate camera system. Ideal for photographers and influencers seeking pro-level mobile photography. Things to consider: Mastering lens alignment, focus, and vignetting prevention takes practice, especially for beginners. Cleaning and mounting lenses slow down spontaneous photography. Optimal results often require a tripod, limiting portability. Vignetting varies by phone model, needing zoom or mounting adjustments. This lens kit is a fantastic upgrade for smartphone photographers aiming for professional-quality zoom and macro shots, though it requires careful handling and may benefit from accessories like a tripod for the best results. As a Canon Rebel camera user, I’ve found the kit takes some practice to master, but it’s been an enjoyable addition to my photography toolkit. It significantly enhances the camera capabilities of my iPhone 14 Pro Max, offering a versatile option for mobile photography. From my experience, a tripod is strongly recommended due to the lens’s weight. The added stability supports the hefty lens, letting you focus on capturing the perfect shot (pun intended!). While the lens is heavy, its high-quality construction ensures durability and excellent performance, promising longevity with proper care. One challenge I’ve noticed is that my phone case can cause the lens clip to slip or shift during use, requiring frequent adjustments. This minor annoyance stems from using a case not designed for lens attachments, so I’ll need to experiment with compatible cases or setups. Despite this, I’m thrilled with the lens kit and its ability to elevate my smartphone photography.

Heavy, useless instructions, clamp doesn’t fit in the case.
I was really excited about this, but it’s got some really annoying flaws which ruin it for me. It’s super super heavy, which makes it really difficult to use and keep your phone steady. it’s weight also makes you have to clamp it down really firmly to your phone, so much so that it caused the screen to warp down, which makes me super nervous that it will crack my screen. It came with a nice case But Only the lens fits in the case!? The clamp that attaches it to your phone has no way of safely being stored without putting it all into another case that you provide at your own expense 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼 For an item at this high price point, it should ALL neatly fit into its own custom case Period! It’s also not user friendly at all, pieces have to be removed for it to go between macro and micro, and it also says Nothing about this in its included directions. It’s instruction manual is awful and has almost nothing useful in it. It kinda works ok, if you can keep it still enough and you figure out how to switch its lenses between micro and macro— and that you need to fit the clamp to you phone before you try to attach the lens.. All in all not worth it for the expense and I would not recommend this this product.

MUST remove macro lens from front to shoot telephoto!
I was provided this lens in exchange for reviewing it. My opinions are my own. I nearly gave this one star. I was excited for the opportunity to review this lens. I have a Neewer-branded professional-grade flash that I am very happy with, so I figured that they'd do a good job with this. That said, I tried to temper my expectations because strapping a fairly bulky telephoto lens to a wafer-thin iPhone and assuming you'll get phenomenal images seems overly optimistic. The lens arrived, I attached it to my iPhone 15 Pro using the included mounting bracket, and got.... blur. Lots and lots of blur, and nothing but blur. Tried another iPhone. Tried an iPad. Same result. Read the instructions, which state (and I'm quoting here): "Note: Use this lens to turn off macro first turn on macro control, and turn on macro control to retain settings, and then turn off macro on the shooting page" That's the only mention of "macro" in the instructions. So, I was about to give up and put in a one-star review. Then I came back to the product page and looked at what the other reviewers had said. One mentioned that he had unscrewed the macro lens from telephoto... and so I looked, and yes, the very front of the lens has a thin blue line that indicates a screw-in connection. Unscrew that very top bit, and you have the telephoto lens by itself. I attached that to my iPhone and - lo and behold - it works! It's a reasonable zoom lens! Having said that, there are a few qualifiers: 1) it's important to have the phone very steady when using this lens. The lens is a big thing that sticks out a good distance and weights a fair amount, and is attached by a plastic clamp. The physics of the whole setup are not great for minimizing vibration, and that's a killer. I wasn't able to get really crisp images, and I think that culprit was lens shake. 2) The instructions are not at all useful. At least, the english version isn't - the instruction pamphlet includes a multitude of other languages and some of them might make more sense. 3) forget about shooting action with this. If you're looking for something to take to your kids' sports event to get some closeups, this isn't going to work well for you. The mount isn't ideal and the lens can move a bit, and there's the aforementioned lens shake that will be happening. I see this as a niche product, and I'm honestly not too sure what niche that is.

Nice optics. Perfect if you have a 17mm lens phone case as this is a relatively pro piece of kit.
This lens is made exceptionally well. Feels like a legitimate lens you would buy a DSLR mirrorless camera. It's not that wide, but it is long and a good bit of weight for its size. The included in phone mount is serviceable and does the job but this lens excels when you attach it to a better mount or a phone case that has an integrated 17 mm filter thread. It's relatively easy to use, but because the flange distance of everyone's phone will be random they make it so that the focus can go beyond infinity to cover any area of separation distance from your camera lens. So learning where to set the manual focus is a tad bit of a learning curve, but it's easily picked up after shooting for a couple minutes. To many folks this lens might not seem like a better outright solution to use than just your camera by itself, but at least from my use case with the Galaxy S22 Ultra, it really shines in 100 megapixel mode. In other modes like telephoto or macro you don't get 100 megapixel of shooting you only get 12. So using this external lens using the 100 megapixel, 1x lens gets you exceptionally better telephoto and macro quality. If you want to go birding or another activity with slower moving subjects, this lens gives you the ability to lock in great shots for a much better value than a full-on interchangeable camera setup.
