Beast of CPU
The Ryzen 9 9950X3D is the CPU I've been waiting for: elite gaming performance without sacrificing productivity. Perfect for creators who also are into gaming. Features: AM5 platform, DDR5, PCIe 5.0, 170W TDP (runs efficiently), easy cooling, and great overclocking headroom. Minor cons: Pricey if you're only gaming (9800X3D is cheaper for pure FPS), needs a solid cooler. For anyone who games seriously and creates/edits/streams, this is the best single CPU right now. Transformed my system —10/10, highly recommended. AMD nailed it. 🔥

The 9950X3D is exactly what I was hoping it would be — a true hybrid monster. You get the 3D V-Cache advantage for gaming, but you don’t sacrifice real multi-core performance like previous X3D chips. It handles high-thread workloads, AI tasks, rendering, and multitasking without feeling like you gave anything up for gaming. Gaming performance is top-tier. Frame pacing is smooth, minimums are strong, and CPU-heavy titles benefit noticeably from the extra cache. At the same time, it doesn’t feel “gimped” in productivity like older cache-focused chips sometimes did. Thermals are reasonable for a high-end 16-core part, but don’t cheap out on cooling. Pair it with a proper board and fast DDR5 (sweet spot around 6000–6400 depending on IMC) and it absolutely flies.

Its exactly what you should expect for a workstation/gaming combo.
Had it for about a year now did a full PC build using this processor and I'm quite satisfied with the results. No issues once so ever with the CPU and it has worked quite easily with my build and motherboard without causing me issues. Under full load never see temps pass 70C and it does a great job of keep the power in check. I would highly recommend for people looking for more workstation capability while still looking for high gaming performance without having to give up one or the other.

Goated CPU
Best CPU ever. Upgrading from the i9-10980xe and the performance and thermals are night and day. Installing is easy if you know what you're doing. Does anything you reasonably want it to. Gaming and productivity are unmatched at this level of computing power, only being surpassed by threadripper cpus which are like 5x the cost of this one if not more. Basically, as of 2026, if you want the best cpu for a max effort machine that doesnt use threadripper, use this. Well worth every penny.

Great processor.
Just moved from a gen 2 threadripper that is awesome to this. Going to find a new home for the old threadripper and move down to this. email me if you want to buy a Gen 2 Threadrippr mb, cpu, 56gb ram and Noctua heatsink just looking for a new home in someone's case. Now to this processor. I still need a cpu that can perform some serious workstation processes. Some far this little gem is performing well. I am surprised how well all my Office 2024 apps are working and my number crunching programs are performing. So far, I am impressed for a cpu billed as the top current gamers cpu. I am happy with this purchase. Cooling with a Thermalright Royal Preytor Ultra 130 and used Arctic MX-7 for the thermal transfer compound. This system is staying cool and performing much better than I expected. Good buy. ASUS Crosshair X870e HERO MB and Corsair Vengence 6400 and a kit of 32gb. Samsung 990evo 1tb NVMe

Great CPU
Great CPU, way better than the Intel slop that was the 14th gen. 10/10 for gaming mixed with workspace stuff, if you are just a gamer, go for 9800x3d or 9850x3d and save yourself a little cash in these times of no RAM.

Great cpu, but expensive
Great cpu. I overclock without any issues. Pricey, though.

Best AMD 16-core AM5 CPU for gaming enthusiasts!
I was very fortunate that I was able to buy AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D for $699.99. Of course, I have to pay sales tax afterwards. But the reason why I had decided to move over from Intel Core i9-14900KS to AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D was because there are more reports that people are having system stability issue which can cause serious BSOD error. I've tested it myself and I can confirm that I was able to reproduce BSOD error which really drives me mad and I hate have to deal with crash, even though this was updated & flashed with the latest BIOS update. Yes, I use ASUS ROG Maximus Apex Encore Z790 Motherboard. I was very disappointed, and I even set to default settings in the BIOS, and yet my system can still crash at anytime, whether I'm browsing, gaming, and/or editing videos. Therefore, I have decided to move to AMD CPU which I'm very glad it's working no problem. I also bought MSI MEG Godlike X870E Motherboard and had to download and update the latest BIOS from MSI website. Your mileage will vary and will always depend on your motherboard vendor. Other than that, I'm very happy with my purchase and I'm also glad that I get zero crash whatsoever. Performance was excellent, easy to overclock via PBO (Precision Boost Overdrive), supports AVX, AVX2, AVX-512 instruction-set extension, you can play around with thermal throttle temperature limit to prevent CPU overheating which I usually set to 70 degrees Celsius, very easy to install, noise level is not loud, as long as you have proper cooling solution which I use Noctua NH-D15 G2 LBC. Of course, you will need to apply thermal paste to have good contact between IHS and cooler heatsink. All in all, I'm very happy with my purchase and this was by far the best opportunity to move over from Intel to AMD platform which I understand why the vast majority of customers don't want to spend money on Intel due to the fact that their CPU and microcode was very unstable, not reliable, nor it didn't meet customer's expectation! Nevertheless, AMD is the new king and yet it's no wonder why there's very high for Ryzen 9 9950X3D 16-core CPU for both gaming and content creation!

Will never go back to Intel. First AMD CPU I ever used. Incredible! Simply put. Fast, easy to use, stable (unlike Intel 14th generation I replaced it with), relatively great value especially all things considered at the moment. Great thermals, (50-60c is what I usually have when playing Overwatch on medium to high settings at 1440p).
