This unit will not heat your pool.
Do not purchase this heater. I bought the unit rated for 10000 gallons. The positive? Incredibly easy to install. The negatives? Firstly it is woefully underpowered. I have the 35100 btu model and it might be ok for a small whirlpool buy does not heat my pool. The app to run the unit is junk, adding programming to the unit if the unit goes offline then comes back on, all of the start and stop programming wipes clean. I live in the Caribbean where temperatures never go below 75, usually 80-85 minimum year round. If this unit can’t heat my pool with these temps then it will never heat yours at cooler air temps. When I’ve talked to the service people they have asked me if I have a solar blanket. No I don’t and I don’t want one. That’s why I bought a pool heater. Nowhere in the product description do they say that their product must be used with a blanket. They recommend 30-35 gallons per minute to function properly. The minimum my pump will do is 20 gpm and even that is too much. I believe the heat exchanger is too small and the water can’t stay in it long enough to absorb the heat. The hot side of the compressor will produce 165-170 degrees going into the heat exchanger but the water coming out only heats to 82-84 degrees. Overall this unit has been a huge disappointment.
