My old Suare D dual breaker burned out after I had accidentally shorted out the circuit with a defective toaster. So I bought this replacement dual 20 Amp breaker. It took me about 15 minutes to install it. (Please be careful if this is a DYI install and follow all proper safety protocol.) It fit perfectly into the original Square D electrical box, circa 1999. I had tried a Siemens breaker before this but it was not compatible with the Square D box. So far a good value for the price.

These breakers will fit! Look at the pics I have posted. Note longer slot in plastic case in one of my original Breakers. Dodo that designed them did not make the plastic slot long enough where breaker slides over the hot bar. Simply do what we call field engineering them by elongating the plastic slot so breaker can slide in all the way. I used my Rockwell osolating cutting tool to elongate the plastic slot. As long as I am complaining, why are there two extra knockouts at the bottom of the 200 amp box that have no spot to actually install a breaker on the breaker bar. Perhaps same engineer at Square D designed that also. Otherwise .... all is good.
