Vitamin E contributes to cardiovascular health by helping to protect LDL cholesterol from oxidation which may cause cellular damage. Vitamin E helps maintain and support: healthy immune function, healthy brain function, eye health, healthy skin, antioxidant protection. Review: dl-alpha gets a bad rap - But it is undeserved! There was a Vitamin E study back in 2006 that started the whole thing! I too was concerned when I heard about this study until I read the study. All of the subjects in this Vitamin E study were 65 years old and older and they all had a history of heart disease and many had already had more than one heart attack. They hardly represented the average population and their future health problems could hardly be blamed on Vitamin E. I have been taking 400 IU of Vitamin E for 18 years. I first took it for eliminating leg cramps and now I also take it to lubricates my joints. I have taken d-alpha as well as dl-alpha over the years. The quality of this Vitamin E is phenomenal! I was taking some Vitamin E from Walgreens which was d-alpha and it was not quality. I suffered with horrible leg cramps while taking that and I felt like I wasn't taking any Vitamin E at all. Kirkland makes quality products and I trust their authenticity. Just 2 days after taking this my leg cramps were gone and I was beyond relieved. Review: Hide the kids, these are toxic!...*sigh* - This is an excellent price for vitamin E, and the gelcaps are easy to swallow. You'd be hard-pressed to find a better bargain. I also use them to treat puncture sites for my mobile blood-drawing business. I keep them in the bottle they came in, as placing them in my vitamin containers changes the texture of the gelcaps. Not sure if this has a detrimental effect or not, but I just decided to go with the recommendation to keep them in the bottle. The dl-alpha form has a lower tolerable upper intake level of 1000, while the natural form has a tolerable upper intake level of 1500. So, if you're gauging how much Vitamin E you should take, using the upper level for natural E for the dl-alpha form will put you at 1.5 times the amount you should be taking, which would be considered "toxic". Could you please look at the label for this product, "K"? I see 400 IU, which is less than 2 1/2 times the upper intake limit (I'm sorry, "toxic") limit for vitamin E, even when using synthetic E as our reference. And the serving size for this product is 1 softgel. So, you'd have to take 3 gel caps to even get into the beginning range of what could be considered unsafe for these supplements. In other words, I think reviewers should do their homework before they go sounding the alarm for a specific product, especially since there are people behind these products, if you know what I mean. Anyone questioning this dl vs. d analysis of the two forms can view the Vitamin E Meta-analysis in Annals of internal medicine, and then head on over to the Council on Responsible Nutrition for a critical view countering this report. In either report, however, you'll find out just how safe you are taking these supplements. Get you supplement on!

Quality vitamins fantastic price
This is the best bang for your buck on Amazon for vitamin E. Hope they don't raise the price like everything else. Kirkland has always been a quality product. Some of the reviews here show compromised bottles and vitamin E which is not the manufacturer's fault.

Very large bottle!
This is a very large bottle of Vitamin E capsules. I didn't realize you could buy the Kirkland brand on amazon! The price for this HUGE bottle is great. It is the same quality and dosage I would find locally. I would highly suggest using Amazon to my friends and family if they want to purchase this item. There are so many benefits to Vitamin E. Not only do I use it for myself, but my dog gets a daily dose of it as well. She takes these pills just fine. I take these pills just fine as well ;) I have seen in some reviews that this is a synthetic product. I have taken that into consideration and I might up my dose but I will be looking into that more before I go that route. I really don't think there is any harm in taking TOOO much vitamin E, but it is definitely something I want to research before suggesting to anyone. Overall, I will probably buy this item again.

I get this all the time. Vitamin E has best antioxidant and blood properties
Together with selenium, it's the best antioxidant for the money! Years ago double blind studies with HIV Pos patients demonstrated that this simple combo of E with selenium (found in most multimineral formulas) was the best antioxidant. You can certainly spend lots more for fancy antioxidants. But for the value, for the cost to benefit ratio, vitamin E is number one! Vitamin E also has many benefits regarding blood viscosity, and assisting essential oils in their ability to promote a good prostaglandin profile. Would you rather take allot of Vitamin E or XARELTO?! Bear in mind that blood thinners are the number one cause of emergency room crisis!

Good value for a quality product
This is a repeat order for me. I have been using Kirkland brand vitamin E for quite some time. The product arrived within the timeframe promised and in great condition. I find these vitamins easy to swallow and am glad to have a large number so I do not need to order again for some time. I maintain a healthy lifestyle and having 400 I.U. per day of vitamin E certainly helps.
