Keeps track of blood sugar levels
I bought this because a recent blood test detected levels of pre diabetes.This is the second time it's happened, and I have been working hard to get my blood sugar levels down.I thought this time, I would try and track it myself until the next test.I was a bit worried with how complicated the device might be to use, but it's simple to use, and gives a clear reading, allowing me to track HbA1c levels among other useful readings.I'm really pleased I decided to get one, because it really is helping. I may not have diabetes, but this is helping me to track my levels on a daily basis.I usually use it in the morning, and then use the readings to track what I had eaten the day before. That allows me to adapt my diet, if needed.I like how it connects to my phone via Bluetooth, and the app allows me to keep a record, which is easy to use.It immediately transfers the monitor readings to the App with dates and times etc and gives 7 day, 14 day avarage readings up to 90 days.The size of the unit is quite small, which is perfect for me, as I can use it when I'm travelling.It was all a bit of a learning curve for me, but I'm glad I decided to go with this monitor. I can't compare it to any others, but it's become a part of my daily routine and it certainly helps to give peace of mind, instead of the uncertainty of where my sugar levels are.I can see I still need to reduce them, but this device is helping me in the right direction, before waiting for my next blood test.

Too difficult to set up
This was a nightmare, could not use it until time, date and year were input which was very difficult to do. Putting needle into lance was impossible. Gave up and ordered Accu-Chek Instant which I had working in five minutes. Wasted money on the First machine.
