This product, manufactured by brand ‘Urban Platter’, is ‘American Pecan Nuts’. The ‘Pecans’ received are not ‘seasoned’, flavoured, ‘roasted’, or ‘toasted’. While it has been suggested that the ‘Pecans’ can be sprinkled over ‘Salads’ and/or ‘Baked’ into ‘Desserts’, I decided to consume them as received: albeit 1-2 per day. The ‘Pecans’ differed slightly from one another in terms of size and width. None of them emitted any ‘odour’. On the product’s outer packaging, the ‘Pecans’ have been described as a ‘Pure Nutty Delight’ with an ‘Unrivalled Flavour’. Upon taste, I felt that the ‘Pecans’ were reminiscent of ‘Soaked Walnuts’ in terms of texture and flavour, whilst maintaining their own ‘identity’. ‘Soaked Walnuts’ (i.e soaked in plain room-temperature water for a few hours prior to consumption) often deliver on a creamy texture and a distinct ‘nutty’ flavour. They are quite different from ‘unsoaked Walnuts’: as the ‘astringent’ feel associated with the latter tends to ‘disappear’ post-soaking. The slight ‘buttery’ mouthfeel typically associated with ‘Pecans’ was experienced in parallel, accounting for the ‘key’ factor differentiating it from a ‘Walnut’. My parents recently prepared warm ‘Kheer’ at home, with ‘Pecans’ among other ingredients. They found themselves quite pleased with this utilization of the ‘Pecans’. Having absorbed the ‘liquid’ of the ‘Kheer’ very well, the ‘Pecans’ had become even more flavourful. Overall, this product is worth the purchase.

Product Rcvd in very good packaging but when we opened it was soggy even after being packed nicely, not at all happy with the quality of product

If I'd have known these were unroasted, I'd have passed. Pecans that are raw are not crisp, nor especially tasty like the amazing roasted ones. Won't be buying again from this outfit.

If you love pecans you will love these. They are literally fresher than the Georgia pecans I brought from the US. I love pecans but hate to open up a bag and discover that they taste like last years pecans. This happens to me a lot in Florida (we are just south of Georgia) but ironically these pecans that I ordered on Amazon in India are much fresher! I have ordered my 5th or 6th jar now and I plan to order more in the future
