Were very effective in making packing for long term travel more compact. I used these like the expensive vacuum sealed travel bags. Over time, they gradually filled with air and the zip lock lost the ability to seal well, but initially provided additional room in my luggage. I suppose for food, you could not rely on them if you reuse the bags.

These 365 gallon Double Zipper Freezer Bags by Whole Foods Market are now a staple item in my home! They are budget friendly, affordable and effective! I enjoy being a frugal grocery shopper and that often means buying meats in bulk then splitting down the packages for meal size portions. These bags are great for freezer storage and even dry goods too! The tops are easy to open I noticed with other freezer bags sometimes I would end up ripping them trying to even get the bags open to be able to use them, not an issue here. Zips closed perfectly with minimal effort every single time for me. I stay stocked up so I don't run out of these, I usually have one open and one spare on hand at all times to make sure that they are there always! They are durable, I have even dropped some frozen things a few times juggling stuff to rearrange the freezer and the bag stayed intact no holes or anything. I have stored everything from meat, to soups I fix and freeze ahead. I also store scraps for making my own broths and soup bases in a bag in the freezer door too! All scraps meat and veg go into a designated bag and after I collect them for a month I turn them into a base by roasting in the oven. These work just as well as name brand bags for me, never had an issue with leaking and no issues getting them to seal or zip. Tips for freezing liquids: Soups, stews and other liquids do well frozen in these just lay them flat on a cookie sheet in the freezer when freezing initially this way once frozen they take up little space and are perfectly flat for storing! Do not stack too many at a time on top of each other and things will freeze much faster that way. I like to do my soups when we have worked through most of my freeze ahead meals so that my freezer is mostly empty for building up my stockpile of quick dinners. Highly recommend to anyone looking for affordable freezer bags. These are great for busy Mom's on the go like me who like to make things ahead so that they can grab a bag and have a quick dinner on the rushed days.
