Great trackball with a fantastic scroll wheel and good value for money.
I love this product. The hardware is smooth and easy to use. The trackball is simple, responsive and easy to get used to. The button placement is just right for medium and large hands. And it should work well for small hands too. The ball is easy to remove and clean. Unlike a mouse the device doesn't need much room. It doesn't move physically on the table. One of the best things about the product is the scroll wheel. It has a superb feel and can be configured to move through pages fast and smoothly. This is a big step up from a regular mouse. The software Kensington provides is a little limited but does the job. There are many ways to configure the buttons though which I really like. This was my first trackball and I was initially a little skeptical about whether I'd get used to it but it didn't take me more than a couple of days. And I mostly won't go back to using a regular mouse again because of how responsive and smooth the trackball is.There are other products in the market and some may be good but this trackball is one of the best value purchases I've made for ergonomics and I'll happily recommend it.Caveats - don't expect to use this for gaming. It is great for productivity, art, coding and spreadsheets. It also has only two buttons which may be limiting for some. It works perfectly fine for me though

Best at this price point
Reduces the wrist pain which is there with regular mouse. Accurate but needs cleaning once a week.* After about two months of usage, now it feels very smooth initially I was not too happy. It's expensive but worth it. Very comfortable for large hands( I have large hands). I use without restpad which did not suit me. The bearings are tiny and made of plastic so not sure about durability.Scoll wheel is better than any mouse scrolls. Large and grippy. It gives you amazing feel due to large size. Scroll wheel is not excellent due to POOR quality bearings but much better than tiny scroll wheel on mouse.Left and RIght buttons are again large and tactile need getting used to. They are meant to slightly hard otherwise there could be false clicks by mistake. No complaints here. Using the downloaded Kensignton tool, I have made dual click as 'drag' and it is very very helpful.***** giving it 5 stars as it is the best product in this range and nothing else comes close in spite of it's shortcomings. Most other trackballs have smaller balls which is not what a trackball should have. Scroll ring is unmatched too in spite of it's flaws. This trackball is highly recommended for day to day use as well as for work like video editing, CAD drawing, etc.

Works, but there's a steep and painful learning curve
The product works as described. The issue is, there is a steep learning curve if you are not accustomed with the thumb and little finger left and right click system. I tried to use it as far as I could, but my fore-arm started to pain severely after every ten minutes of continuous usage. I work on CAD projects mostly, for 8-10 hours daily. I was using the Logitech M570 trackball for the last 3.5 years, and it was overwhelmingly awesome and comfortable to use, so much that I did not want to use a non-trackball mouse ever again. The left click button then broke, and I wanted to experiment with the Kensington's product, and even though I tried hard, it was just too painful and irksome to use (I had got accustomed to the M570 in 5 minutes, and never felt I was using an overall new device/technology). I have returned this, and will be ordering the M570 again.

Almost the best pointing device I've ever used.
I've been having issues with the wrist for quite some time, due to mouse usage. Alternating between both hands and the use of a track pad has helped initially, but the problem has returned after a brief hiatus. That's when I started looking for track balls.I wanted the Expert Mouse, but it was a bit too expensive, and hence decided to settle for the Orbit with Scroll Ring. It's a week since I've started using them and my wrists have been pretty much stress free. The ball movement is smooth and measured, and it's easy to get used to, even if you're new to track balls. Of all the scrolling mechanisms I've encountered, the scroll ring is the most functional and natural way to scroll.Coming to brickbats, the wrist rest should have been better designed. The current one that comes with it is functional, but it would have been sweet if it was a bit more padded at the wrist position for better ergonomics. Also, the buttons are a bit clicky, but it's more of a personal preference than a brickbat. I like non-clicky soft buttons better.Overall, it's a great product, especially when compared with the other options in the market at this price range.

Very Mid Quality, Bad Ball-Skates
Need to clean the ball skates everyday which are just cheap red led-like plastics. no teflon, no proper ball skates. very cheap product at 4.3k price tag is, well, i regret buying this thing. also clicks feel cheap like Rs.250 Mouse or Mice. the rest of the product is fine.UPDATE: used for 1 month, left click is already failing.

Excellent trackball
Excellent product. I really like the trackball which is silky smooth. I also like the scroll ring and it works perfectly fine. For first couple of days, it requires some getting used to, but overall a good product. I was worried if I should switch back to a cabled mouse, but since there is no movement- this is fine. Also, it reduces the need of the batteries. My hands are fairly large and it works very well. I did not require the extension support that is supplied.

Not worth price.
I have bought 4 of these.Left button of every mouse dies after a year of use.I have used this mouse for office work only. Not happy with overall quality of kensington, also I can see similar issue in 2 other mice also.Mouse is not worth it for the price you are paying.
