I live in a little bit cold place. my room temperature is 70f in average. can i enjoy the fragrance of hyacinth if i will keep them in my room?

I've never tried to grow them as house plants. Given that they seem to thrive best in cooler weather, I don't think I'd try. Besides, we are allergy ridden enough, that we don't bring cut flowers indoors. If you have a balcony, that would probably work. Their scent is powerful enough that opening the balcony door would soon fill the place with their perfume. The ones in my garden are coming up, and the ones in the sunnier places are showing flower buds.

is it late to plant the bulbs in Early Jan in zone 6?

No, it is not too late at all - as long as your ground hasn't frozen yet. If your ground has frozen, then you can plant them into pots, then place the pots somewhere cool but not freezing. You can then keep them cool until spring, or, after at least 12-13 weeks of chilling, you can attempt to force them to grow indoors. It's important to note that hyacinths should have grown a good root system before forcing is attempted. This means that even fully prechilled bulbs need to be kept cool after being planted (or after being placed over a vase of water) until they have good roots - then they can be brought into the warmth and light to grow and bloom.It does not sound like you intend to force yours, however. So yes, if you can get a shovel in the ground, it's not too late to plant! I have planted hyacinths successfully up until mid-March (although I do credit the success of those late planted hyacinth to a long and cool spring).Best wishes to you!

Moldy Bulbs

a few bulbs have bloomed and look wonderful, however, almost all of my bulbs had a blue mold on them, which I can tell has significantly affected the health of the plants. I'm growing all of these in hyacinth bulb vases, and despite treating the mold it continues to pop up and has stunted the growth of many of the flowers.
