Adams Adult Shoulder Injury Pad ~ Model # SIP-29 ~ As worn by professional and college football teams

I coach varsity offensive and defensive line. During week 3 of the season one of my linemen suffered a pretty severe shoulder stinger - and I know what you're thinking, "A stinger, big deal" but this one was bad. After the game and for 4 days after he was unable to lift his arm above his shoulder. Kid is VERY tough - two way starter - and had played through various injuries in the past. He went through intense physical therapy (dad is an orthopedic surgeon, mom is a physical therapist - great parents to have on your team!) and dad said, "He doesn't really risk damaging it further but it will hurt like crazy and he will likely get another stinger. It's his call if he plays." Kid wanted to play. I asked around to some other coaches if they knew of any additional protection I could get this kid and they all recommended this. I ordered this for him and when it arrived I was not all that impressed. It seems pretty flimsy and my immediate thought was, "I just got hosed, this isn't going to do anything." Still, I gave it to my player and he used it. He told me during the first practice that the difference was incredible. Although his injury prevented him from playing defense (he couldn't shoot his hands as he had very little strength in that side of his upper body) he was still able to play offense (we are a wing-T team and we shoulder block). In short, this thing is money well spent. It will appear flimsy when you receive it but give it a try before you decide not to use it, you won't be disappointed.

Added protection for my son after a shoulder/collarbone injury.

These pads fit great and I’m using them for a cosplay costume. Easy and light weight. And the bulk up my chest a bit (I don’t go to the gym enough)!

Item was late. No point in being a prime member when it does not arrive as stated and paying for the membership.

Product as described. My son had a very serious football injury a couple of years ago. This has given more protection and confidence.

Great product! Has been a great help for my son. Company was awesome getting it to us, they upgraded the shipping when I contacted them.

Cheap...difficult to secure with plastic buckles and does not secure well. Needs snaps for security and easy removal.
