A good set of books to learn about Indian Mythology.
I don't need to add a picture as other reviewers have already done it before. The set of books is exactly the same as in the pictures. I read some of these books as a child and wanted to get the complete set to re-read them and enjoy the tales again. There are three volumes, not books but volumes! They are packaged in a nice box set that feels sturdy to the touch and is a good addition to any home bookshelf. The drawing is as you would expect from Amar Chitra Katha and is top notch. The different colours and styles of drawings do not distract me and I like to overlook these simple flaws. But that's not why I docked one star from the review. As another reviewer has pointed out, there is indeed no Bhagvad Gita in this box set. Krishna does not give the full discourse to Arjuna and everything is finished in a few panels only. Now I have to get the Bhagvad Gita separately to read. But overall, a good purchase and worth it if you or your kids want to learn about Indian Mythology among others.

A beautiful collection of books for adults and children alike.
The books (package of 3) came in hardcover copies which was a surprise to me. The text as well as the print is really good. The content itself invokes nostalgia as I read used to read other Amar Chitra Katha books in my childhood. So far, i have read the first book halfway and it's a 5/5 rating for the book itself. The packaging as always with Amazon, 0/5.

Grandiose and Extravagant are the two words for these books
About the product: A fantastic book collection. Its a must buy to one who is interested in the epic or loves to narrate to children. The language and pictures are exquisite. There are some pages which describe the valor of Bheema , Arjuna and Karna in a cinematic way. It leaves us in the imagination of how mighty and capable those warriors were. About the package: The 3 books are well packed and delivered. Will I recommend these to children: Certainly. And for elders too. For children: These are perfect as bed time stories or during a holiday story telling sit outs. For elders: Perfect for reading on a holiday with a jug full of tea or lots of coffee.

A healthy dose of Mythology and Nostalgia
Was apprehensive after reading the negative reviews, but took a chance. Very satisfied with what I got. Well packed, and delivered within 24 hours. As for the content, I grew up reading the random ACK singles my parents bought from the local raddiwala. I was hooked from the very first one I read. Always wanted my kids to read the same epics. This set brings all of them in one place. I bought the ACK Ramayan box set as well and that one is also very well done. The artwork is different, though. I'm not complaining. I'm happy with my purchases.

Just what I wanted
This complete collection of the Mahabharata is just what I wanted to help my child who’s born into the world of YouTube to learn our ancient history the way we imagined it when we were young. Despite the decades that have passed since this series was created, it still triggers excitement and imagination of elders and the young alike. We gifted one of these to our friends who were Australian and they were absolutely fascinated by it.

ACK Mahabharata
I had enjoyed this set as a child nearly 25 years ago when it was released as chapter book by Uncle Pai of ACK. I bought this set for my 10 year old daughter to introduce her to one of the greatest epic to be ever written. My kids have enjoyed learning about Indian mythology through ACK books. The set comes with 3 big volumes of: 1. The Kuru Princes 2. Pandavas in Exile 3. On the battlefield of Kurukshtra Each volume is a heavy book and covers all the important details of the epic. The books are well illustrated and presented but kept simple for the kids to enjoy. The set is recommended for 10-15 years depending on the interest of the child. It is also recommended for adults if they have not read the epic before. Each book is divided into chapters and will make a good bedtime read (for several months). Mahabharatha is an extensive and exhaustive saga of emotions, characters, situations and emotions. There is no human emotion or character that exists that has not been described in the epic. This set is a starting point to explore the other books/characters mentioned in this epic, all available in ACK. Each chapter can be further discussed to understand the moral of the story, emotions of the characters, understanding of the behaviour etc. It is a beautiful set of book, well presented, colourful front cover, the usual high standards of ACK and a good gift to any youngster, specially of Indian origin.

Amazingly detailed for a comic book version. Thousands of pages. Respectful of the source material.
I was most surprised by the length of this collection. Its a three volume set with each volume being 2cm thick. It will probably take my daughter and I months to read it all. This is probably the most complete rendering of the Mahabharata in a format that’s accessible for a young audience. Even though it’s in graphic novel format, my 9 year old daughter who loves reading isn’t able to understand the story unless we read it together. Perhaps she will catch on after we get past the first few hundred pages. At least at the beginning there are too many characters and too much new vocabulary for her to handle on her own.
